Sheika fight was stopped on cuts, wasn't it? His left eye was mashed up, IIRC. It might well have been too early, but I don't know the extent of the eye damage so it's hard to say. There is no close-up of the cut in the UK or USA version of the fight that I've seen.

Retire, cut up, whatever. That's gotta be ruled a TKO when a fighter is not allowed by the ref to continue.

As for Eubank, he went on video to say Calzaghe hit him harder than anyone else has, including Benn.

tko's, not ko's, calzaghe has only ko'd two people in his whoel career
and most of his tko's are early stoppages
everytime he won a fight by tko his opponent would be looking around like ''wtf??''

His opponents were still either hurt or stunned prior to the stoppage, as with any boxer, early stoppages happen.

not really, when it comes to calzaghe, he knocks you down once, and your suppossedly hurt and the fight should be stopped, what he does is he rushes the guy and keeps punching and punching(notice that these punches might aswell be some at some random time it would still probabley be stopped) because you can be throwing, but if you dont throw as much as him it will be stopped, cuz suppossedly your too hurt to continue, bull****

he does'nt have power, he is'nt/never was a power puncher, he just punches in bunches, and does'nt stop, and half the time he's gettin cracked also
i mean if someone is flurrying at you, what are you gonna flurry back and make yourself look liek an ametuer? are you gonna flurry back and chance gettin chin checked? fact is most people would wait a storm like that by, it's not cuz they're hurt, it's cuz they are more technical than that

well you are mentioning that Calzaghe has only ever stopped 2 people and that once he has knocked someone down he only wins by keep hitting them with flurrys of punches. you also said that when he is doing this he is always getting cracked, so I just said when has he ever been KO'd as a result of that? and obviously he hasnt

Calzaghe doesn't want to give Hopkins a rematch. This is not my opinion. Listen to Calzaghe's interviews and you'll realise this is also a fact.
I think you need to buy a dictionary and read the definitions of Fact and Opinion.

Back to the OP, he's quite right. Reid was offered a rematch but terms could not be agreed. You can argue the rights or wrongs of the terms but not the fact he was offered a rematch. Back in the day, Robin Reid was world class - not the shot Reid who fought Lacy and Froch - but the one a few years early before who was so criminally robbed against Ottke. And he clearly lost the Calzaghe fight - he admitted it in the post-fight interview and no amount of bleating afterwards can convince me that his immediate reaction was not the most genuine. He's right though, it wasn't a great fight - but then seeing as Calzaghe broke his hand in the third round it never was going to be. For me the real story was how a one-handed Calzaghe beat a prime Reid despite one hometown judge giving it to the home town boy.

when i said half the time he is also gettin cracked i was implying that the other guy was'nt hurt and could still continue, nothin to do with his chin
