This was the same Barrera who's been in wars with Pac and Morales so really does Marquez get full credit for this win?

Why else is Marquez campaigning at 135, he was chasing Pac. Would Marquez be at 135 if Pac never went to 135, probably not.

Dont get me wrong now cause I know their are alot of Marquez fans here and I aint trying to discredit his skills cause YES he is a good boxer, but without Pacquiao where would he be? SERIOUSLY
Agree, Marquez is a very good fighter, but his fan are giving him too much credit because of 3 close fight with Barrera and Pacquaio. Marquez is lucky to walk away with a 1-1-1. It could have been 0-3. The first fight with Pac, Marquez clearly lost and he was very badly hurt at the end of the fight. Pac is the one who was robbed. The others two fight were close, Marquez wasn't pretty too, and he was lucky 1/2... no! 2/3 because Pac beat him clearly in the first fight.

His fan are still crying for him, but you know what, in boxing, don't expect to win every fight base on close rounds, and Marquez, who did he clearly beat? forget Casamayor, he lost to Santa Cruz and had a hard time again Katsadis.

Anyway, I still hope for a third fight with Pac, but after Meaweather and Margarito. At 140 again Pac, Marquez will get his beating of his life. Pac is a much better fighter and doesn't have weight problem like the the second fight.

You could add Naseem Hamed being protected from Marquez by the WBO for years. Champion fighters wern't exactly excited to fight a guy who was technically flawless and posed a serious threat to everyone.

**** him and barrera both fought at the great western forum for years and even the promoters they shared at the time never let them fight. seriously it's like you saw marquez fight once and you think you know everything about him.

Yeah, thats not intriging compared to fighting a overrated Hatton and a retired PBF... If floyd loses to Pacquaio, it'll be due to inactivity!! If Marquez and Morales gave Pacquiao fits with their boxing skills, what would a floyd mayweather do??? Pick pacquiao apart... The only intriging parts of what u perpose is how long before Hatton gets KO'd and whether PBF still has it
clearly this guy is an ignorant hater ignore him lolz ^_^

Why do you think Boxing writers and Critic's laugh when mayweather says he's the greatest of all time and they clap and weep at old footage of Ali calling himself the greatest of all time?

It's because Ali fought everybody and beat everybody while Floyd makes Good Buissness decisions and cries when low risk and low reward fights do nothing for his reputation.

Without Marquez Pac never fights De La Hoya and he's stuck fighting b+ fighters the rest of his career.
Not all analyst give Pac credit for his win with Marquez anyways so if you take Pacs fights with Marquez out of the picture, Pac would still be P4P anyways.

I doubt that, Marquez had nothing to do with Pacs intentions to fight DLH. Pac saw an opportunity and took like any fighter would. A chance to dethrone the PPV king. No way Marquez had anything to do with that.

Look, honestly I aint saying Marquez aint good and in no way trying to discredit his skills, all im saying is take each fighter out of each others resume. Where would they both be?

i think in a 3rd fight. pacquiao would really put a beating on him. but he has business with hatton at 140. i see its true what people say about jmm and crying like a baby. doesnt matter how close it was the ****ing jugdes said u lost so u lost ok? stop cryin about a fight with pac wen u can cement your own legacy without a problem at 135. that division will be a test for him. i would love to see him face campbell after he beats diaz. but i wouldnt be surprised if diaz outworks jmm.

Then facing Hatton would not also be dangerous for pacquiao knowing that Hatton is undefeated at 140lbs?
The diffrence is nobody is trying to discredit Pacman and all of you are trying to discredit Marquez even though he's the only guy to push Pacman to the limit like no other fighter has in years.

He's Number 2 in the world for a reason and considering that even junior middleweights are getting Knocked out by Pacman Manny is the only name that Marquez needs on his resume to be great.

Well i think its not Marquez who gave pacquiao chance to fight ODLH but his impressive win over a shot David diaz(if thats what others call him).
