i think everyone on here knows that jones would have beaten him in there primes, and it may have been a closer fight than any other roy has been in, (in his prime)but people on these boards don't give joe enough credit for what he has done.Comment

Oh dear, you do seem a little obsessed. As has been pointed out, that quote is cherry-picked to side with your point as usual. I could find you three or four other quotes from Calzaghe saying he wanted Jones (around 2001-2002). Which is all besides the point that every fighter on the planet would expect a big payday to fight Roy Jones Jr. If you seriously think that top-level fighters would have fought Jones for small money during his prime then you're delusional. The reason Jones gets criticism for the level of opposition he fought during his prime is because the fighters he faced were small-time enough to accept what was offered as their biggest payday. It wasn't that Jones didn't want more challenges, but his management (later himself) weren't in the business of giving huge paydays away, as they knew that Jones was the exclusive draw.Comment

Are you seriously showing a picture of the faded Roy Jones as if it was an accomplishment to beat him? Calzaghe himself said he wasn't going to fight him because he had nothing left after the two knockout losses to Jhonson and Tarver but I guess Roy proved himself against a shot Trinidad and prince abadabdbad.Comment

How about you address my points?
I think you might actually be incapable. To you, anyone who is a Calzaghe fan or defends him is a nuthugger and you twist every thing about Calzaghe to be negative. I'm glad that I'm objective rather than subjective like you.Comment
