    Why would he sayd he probably wouldn't unless he got paid a lot, possibly because it'd be worth a lot so would deserve the big money. Doesn't say he definitely wouldn't, so a rather weak one off comment hardly the worst out there from a boxer.

    Why would he say far more emphatically and far more often things like;

    "I have no fear whatsoever of Jones... I would jump on the next plane to the States and defend my title against him in his own backyard if the opportunity arose,"

    "I am the best super-middleweight in the world and I am out to prove that I am the best fighter on the planet. If Jones disagrees, lets get it on,"

    "Jones is supposed to be the best fighter in the world at the moment. A showdown between us has got to happen to prove who is the best."

      Try those. And HBO never said RJJ ducked Joe. In fact they've implied the opposite. Your link is hilariously vague. They are trying to build up Joe as a star. Too bad he has the charisma of wet toilet paper so that's a FAIL.

      please dont talk about wet toilet paper that way

        he also said this in the same interview;

        Jones always had handspeed but he would never throw the amount of punches that I threw. It would have been a harder fight but I would have fancied my chances," he added.

            In his prime Joe was the kind of guy RJ would walk through in less then 4.

              I think he beats him but I don't agree that he would KO him in 4. More likely a comfortable UD 3-4 rounds 116-111, something like that.

                Wow. Who did you BLOW to find one of the 5 clean punches Calzaghe landed on Bernard all night? Great picture. The photographer must've had 50 cameras all clicking at 100 frames per second to catch that shot.

                Superb.

                  I like Calzaghe, and I also like Roy Jones... and when they fought I wanted Calzaghe to win. But, no doubt in my mind that if both fighters were to fight in there prime... Jones would probably win. The problem with Jones is that he hasn't been the same in a good 5 years, and it has seemed like he has aged in dog years (no disrespect... but you know how Jones looked against Calzaghe).
