Amazing how a guy who shrinks himself down actually gets stronger DURING the fight?

Amazing how he's been able to make weight since he was EIGHTEEN!

My God, Margarito must be some freak of nature to be able to accomplish this for nearly 15 years and yet really NOT be a welterweight.

    GTFOH.

    Invest in some facts.

      And shoulder length requirements.

**** it, let's revamp the sport.
why stop there why not go by shoe size and waist measurement. i wish people would give up with this he should be in this category and he should be in that one. so what if he puts on 15-20 pounds after the weigh in that can hurt a fighter too losing and putting on too much weight in the short time. the other guy can do the same, but maybe it might suit him to be lighter and faster so as to not get tagged than to be more stocky and slower. also nothing to stop the shorter fighters cutting down the weight and dropping down also.

Same reason you know he could make 147lbs if the weight was an hour before.

Hopkins made me the 160lbs limit for over 10 years and Calzaghe did the 168lbs for how many years.

Margarito hides down at 147lbs even though he is a 154/160lbs

Calzaghe ducks challenges like they are going out of fashion.

          I got Margarito.
Margarito does, because he's fought the who's who of 147. And eventhough i cant wait for rematch with PWill, he still has the balls to fight threats...

CalSlappy is ***** for not fighting any real threats, only 40 y/o men and punching bag c-level fighters...

This would affect about 75% of fighters since mostly all boxers gain weight not just marga..

Both don't deserve the all hate they get, and biased topics suck. I'd say Marg tho, since he didn't camp out in Europe for a decade.

Calzaghe's career choices are disappointing. I know it's not all his fault, but in the end a fighter has to stand by his record. There really is no reason Calzaghe shouldn't be mentioned in the top 20 or 30 fighters of all time. Instead he was vain... obsessed with being undefeated and comfortable (or at least fooled into it by Warren), and he gave up an opportunity to be mentioned in the same breath as the true greats. It really is unfortunate.
