There are certainly similarities in that there seems no reason whatsoever for any of the top American fighters (plus Calzaghe, here) to even think about fighting him whether his management want to 'protect' him or not. The guy is no 'name' to stick on the 'resumé' unbeaten or not, there's no money in a fight in the US, none of them would be ****** enough to fight him in Germany in case it went 12 rounds and as with similar fighters - Calzaghe being the obvious example - they are unsure about how good Erdei actually is. In both cases it's not 'ducking', it's economics.

he's undefeated! that means no one has beaten him. hopkins has 5 losses i mean come on he wouldn't stand a chance. There are certainly similarities in that there seems no reason whatsoever for any of the top American fighters (plus Calzaghe, here) to even think about fighting him whether his management want to 'protect' him or not. Erdei = nobody. Like it or not all you Euros, Brits, Canadians, South Americans, Africans, Australians, and Asians, whoever! Until you fight the best in America (and not neccessarily Americans) you will always be nobodies. The Mexicans know and understand this as well.
Erdei may be pleased being a big fish in a little pond and that's fine, but don't bother trying to call yourself elite until you are willing to swim with the sharks!
Again, like it or not people - it is what it is...Comment

Your enthusiastic ability to hate so purely is almost admirable.

If this were the older days (i really hate starting sentences out like that) We would have already known if Erdei was a great fighter or not. Even if he wasn't, he most assurdly would receive greater respect even with a few losses had he challenged ir been challenged by good or great fighters. And in the past lineal champions had to face the best even if it wasn't every fight. I would enjoy it if Erdei fought better caliber opponents, I always thought Erdei was going to fight Adamek, but Dawson derailed that thought (legitimate or not).Comment
