He would be a fool to step up to light heavy after the Hopkins debacle.

His best bet would be to go after Taylor at super middle if he obtains a belt or fight Froch for one.

          Pavlik

Love the fighter, but I think it is time for a change in trainers. Loew has taken him as far as he can take him. Pavlik needs some changes made in his style and I am not sure Loew is capable of that. I know I am going to get thrased for this, but it is just my opinion. Also, greed was very instrumental in taking the Hopkins fight and that lose did something to Pavlik. Let's see if there are any changes his next time out. Hopkins laid the blueprint on how to defeat Pavlik, now let's see which fighter can carry that out....

Just because a fighter isn't slick or elusive doesn't mean he is overrated. Pavlik may not be a flashy slick fighter but he is a machine and quite entertaining to watch.

And Rubio is no bum. Bum is a word that is quite abused on these forums as you have just pointed out.

Thats a pretty week training camp considering that he has alot of improvements to make, and he is walking around at 175 lbs right now. Miguel Cotto started training in decemeber if I am correct. Fighters at this level should be running at least 2 and a half month training camps, anything else seems way too short.

I dont think Rubio will present a challange for Pavlik if the youngstown hero can safely make weight without killing himself, but what happens when Pavlik goes against a better skilled opponent? He better come in better shape and be learning new techniques if he wants a chance to win, especially if he is eventually going to move up in weight!
i agerre pavlik should had started training as soon as the fight was made.....it going to be harder for him to make weight since he's getting older. plus he kinda got exposed when he fought b-hop so he should be making inprovements insted of training.

How do people know he's walking around right now at 175?

Does anyone think this fight will sellout? My friends and I are actually planning a road trip to ohio from nyc. Sometimes roadtrips to nowhere are the most fun.

Arum said it would sell out in hours. IMO I think Pavliks fans will want to show they still like him after the loss by buying up the tickets.
