I think this is actually a statement from Suliaman that we can get behind. Evander Holyfield, whom we all know Haye is attempting to emulate, had to wait two years before he got a shot at the title, despite the fact that he was the #1 challenger to Mike Tyson's throne according to The Ring and the WBC & WBA. Holyfield in the meanwhile beat other challengers because he wanted to force Tyson to fight him instead of other challengers. Unfortunately, that didn't work out exactly as planned, but you see what I mean. If Holyfield had the patience, and had to be a "good little boy" and wait for his turn, then Haye needs to do the same, pick off potential challengers (I'm looking at you, Arreola), and then on of the brothers might fight him.
David Haye Needs More Patience, Says Jose Sulaiman

Haye's the most exciting heavyweight out there and like him or not he does have talent and admittedly a large amount of vulnerability. That said, the "he doesn't deserve or hasn't earned a shot" crowd need to relax. Champions move up in weight all the time and go right for a title, Haye is no different.
Taking that into consideration I would agree that the Hayemaker would better serve himself and his career by fighting at least a couple of top contenders before challenger either Klitschko. While I believe Haye to have the tools to beat both brothers, taking a fight with either one to early could effectivly end his career three years earlier than he'd like.
I have also been irritated by Haye's inactivity. Ok, so he gave himself 9 months to adjust to his new weight but now the guy doesn't plan to fight until summer? Be it a summer clash with Vitali, Wladimir or any other fighter, Haye should be much busier than he is now. He's quickly becoming a part time fighter. As much as I admire Haye's personality, and fighting style, it's difficult for me to support part time fighters. Today's heavyweights are soft, 2-3 fights a year? Mr. Haye should be fighting no less than 4 times per year. If he wants a shot at one of the brothers he should be out there fighting for it, if they won't hand it to him. Fight, fight, and keep fighting until both the brothers and the networks can't ignore you.
It would seem like a busier workrate would be the way to get the shot he so desperatly wants but I am getting the feeling that Haye is content to fight once or twice a year. While I'm one Haye's biggest supporters and will continue to route for him, that's not the kind of fighter most people get behind. Stop yapping, get busy fighting and earn it!
