this patience that he speaks of is equal to boredom. the heavyweight division needs some excitement. not some 35 year old guy who has waited all his life for a title shot.

Juan Carlos Gomez is the most underrated heavyweight in the world, he looked impressive clearly beating power puncher Vladimir Virchis in the WBC eliminator. Gomez DESERVES a title shot, he earned it.

Haye dosen't deserve a title shot, he hasn't done jack **** in the heavyweight division. He thought he could talk his way into a title shot, he was wrong. Haye actually has to prove himself now to earn a title shot against one of the Klitschko brothers.

People may disagree with this and roll their eyes, but the UFC was very, very smart by putting Brock Lesnar against Couture so fast. Why? They struck when the iron was hot, and reports are they did 800,000+ or so ppv buys for that event.

Why doesn't boxing strike while it's hot? Haye vs. either Klitschko would be a great fight and do good business right now.

You have Calzaghe whining because his ppv didn't do business against Jones, and Hopkins vs. Pavlik did no business.....why? Because fans wanted to see Pavlik vs. Calzaghe. Instead they gave us 2 matchups no one cared less about, their ppv buys showed it.

Maybe Haye hasn't done anything yet to deserve a title shot, but neither did tv entertainment star Brock Lesnar - yet one was turned into a monster cash cow, and meanwhile Haye vs. Klitskcho, which could have been a moneymaker, is now left to fizzle. What if Haye beat Vitali this spring...what a huge, huge storyline money fight would that be with Wlad in the fall?

If this comes across as a rant, so be it, but Sulaiman calling for "Patience" simply means he wants one more big sanctioning fee from Vitali for a fight before he may potentially lose to Haye. Vitali should have done the right thing and dumped his belt for the fight with Haye. After all, Sulaiman would strip Vitali the second he stopped being a sanctioning atm.

This is targeted to the heavyweight division in particular, about striking while the iron is hot. That is why it's great to see Wlad fighting Areola, even if it might seem a mismatch on paper. Those are the fights we need to get people talking about the division again.

When is boxing going to learn that their mandatories are considered a joke by fans (look at how Wlad wasted a prime year of his life on garbage fights last year) and no one cares if a belt is on the line?

yeah that's why HBO is messing WBC and other boxing organization because of patience. let David get what he wants, anyway he's taking it at his own risks. he may fall for too much hunger, either way it's a big purse for each side.

David Haye is mouthing off for a big payday, simple as that. Nothing wrong with that as he has nothing to lose. Win: superstardom. Lose: a fat paycheck. No shame losing to Vitali and plenty of time to continue on his carerr.

david haye has no buisness fighting 4 a heavyweight title since he hasnt proved himself..vitali is gonna beat the f.ucking brakes off this chump...i said it b4 that he should fight arreola with the winner gettn a shot..but i guess all u need is a cruiserweight belt(which is an even weaker division then heavy) and a big mouth and u can get a nice payday..i hope he invests wisely cuz vitali is gonna end his career

Patience won't help him. He can fight either of the K bros now or later and he's still gettin KTFO by both. Haye gets cred for gettin loud on both guys and wantin to fight em tho.

Haye might be fighting Wlad instead, at the moment it might be a better course to take as the WBC heavyweight title is a bit off a mess with Gomez and Maskev in line for title fights.
