Not RJJ tho, i couldnt see JC having beaten Roy 10 years ago.
Yea ur right. Joe would stand a chance since Bernard was never a speed demon and as offensive and combo heavy as Roy. I think Bernard wud pull out a decision ova him tho. And Roy would outclass him IMO. Styles make fights.

Call me crazy, and you probably will, but I see Calzaghe vs. Bernard or Roy as 50/50 fights. I might even give a slight edge to Calzaghe.

No need to post "duh, you're delusional" and stuff like that, because to convince yourselves that prime Jones and / or Hopkins destroy Calzaghe is no more or less delusional that what I just wrote. Fact is, Joe hasn't lost a fight in close to two decades. You or I will probably never know what it takes to beat him. It could be that Joe throws way too many punches for either of them. Jones needed time to set up his shots. Calzaghe would never have allowed him that time. Calzaghe also punched much harder back in the day. I think Hopkins may have fared better than Jones, actually.

I am a Jones fan, btw. I'm also a Hopkins fan too (have been since about 1997), so there is no bias here.

funny how we talk about a prime BH, forgetting that at the age of 43 he is still in many peoples top 5 p4ps, and almost certainly in most peoples top 10 (tho im sure some on here will contradict that). This is why ive never disregarded JC's victory over him, BH still has the skills, just ask KP 'the next great white hope'

love him or loath him, and im no fan, you have to respect him. The guy's a freak!

        big respect.

I don't agree. Bernard would stand a better chance than Roy, IMO. Hopkins was a beast 10 years ago, his style was not at all like it is now. In the Johnson fight, for example, Hopkins was extremely aggressive.

To this day, I still regard the Johnson win as a better win than Tito, Oscar, etc.

Yea but it depends on how Bernard fights. Yea he can be agrressive but will he choose too. And Joe isn't a simple fighter. He comes from different angles and is awkward which may cause Bernard to be more cautious. I still think prime Roy wud win more convincingly.

Cool. And by the way, I appreciate being able to discuss this without any **** slinging.

I still think Bernard would do better than Roy.

I am a little surprised by that.

I don't see Joe winning more than three rounds against a prime Roy Jones Jr.

Shot, to me, is Ali vs. Holmes. Or even Earl vs. Khan.

3 and 3 in his last 6 and he got KTFO twice consecutively and once by a glorified journeyman.

The funny thing is. Calzaghe fans poke fun at Hopkins beating Tito and discredit that win. What RJJ best win since his losses. It was Tito

F•R•K•O and Ricky should have a fight to see who is P4P Joe's biggest ****sucker.

Seriously i used to think that guy was alright, but since he started posting here again his love for Calzaghe has grown out of control.
