RJJ was SHOT against JC bla, bla..

i think we all agree, so less mulling over, and repetition of a fact, as seems to endless happen here on boxingscene.

i'd like to hear people agree on this; my word, in his day RJJ was ****ing AMAZING. Probably my favourite boxer, forget that his best days are past him, spend a little more time remembering just how good this man was.

    pure. ****ing. class.

that's your opinion, and i can understand it, tho i dont agree personally.

i honestly don't believe JC could have beaten a prime RJJ tho, as a Brit i'd prefer to not have this opinion, and i dont base it on that fact that im not particularly a JC fan. I just can not see, in any way, shape, or form, how JC could beat the RJJ of 10 years ago. He was the best of a generation.

I'm still not convinced Roy is as shot as some people claim.

Shot, to me, is Ali vs. Holmes. Or even Earl vs. Khan.

I am a Calzaghe and Jones fan, and when they fought I wanted Calzaghe to win... so this comment is not in any way bias. Jones was shot when he fought Calzaghe, you could tell, it wasn't the same fighter that fought in his prime... and I do 100% believe that if the fight happened 7 years ago, the outcome could and probably would have been different. I mean... did you see Roy Jone's in his prime? He was absolutely immense.

Given that you are a Joe fan and ppl have criticised him for fighting a shot Roy I can understand your point of view.

Roy is definately not shot like say Gatti was against Gomez; Ali was against Holmes; or Castillo, for instance, but I would still say he was pretty much spent. However, completely shot fighters don't score knock downs against top p4p rated fighters and ring champs.

The thing that makes ppl believe Roy is completely shot to pieces is the contrast between his current level and that of his prime. There is clearly no comparison and ppl struggle to get past this.

So yeah, maybe not completely shot or as shot as ppl make out, but still pretty much done as a top 5/10 LHW. So effectively, as good as shot.

i actuallly think JC would have stood a chance against a prime BH, but it would be as dull as their clash was last April.

Not RJJ tho, i couldnt see JC having beaten Roy 10 years ago.
