He gets credit for that but I don't hink he has fought better comp than Floyd. He fought a bunch of over the heel HOFers who wore themselves out by fighting each other 1st. And he is yet to convincingly beat JMM.
who was shot? erik and oscar?

funny......no one thought they were shot going into those fights.

of course after they get ktfo......they must be shot.

erik was shot during the 3rd fight. the 1st 2 he was past prime but still had it.

oscar might not even be shot. i think he was too worried about dieting instead of concentrating on training.

      that's fine.

      gatti is equal to diaz.

diaz was just a tuneup for manny anyway.

Charley Burley, Archie Moore and Sam Langford were looked at as the best in their divisions for years without getting title shots till they were considered past their best. Please guys, everyone on this thread so far seems intelligent, dont get involved in knocking Floyds and Pacmans opponents. The opponents they beat made them p4p champs respectively.

Floyd fought the best Supper Feather, in Corrales, the best Lightweight in Castillo, the no2 light welter in Gatti, the ring Welter in Baldomir and the ring Light Middle in Oscar.

Pacquiao fought the best at each weight... someones already posted the guys he's beaten so im not going to repeat it. Also, Diaz was arguebly no2 lightweight, and was the WBC champion.

They both fought great fighters and the opponents they beat make them worthy of being p4p no1 in the world.
