Look at Tito he has been down how many times in his career, but he has only been KTFO once. Everytime Trinidad got hurt he got straight back up and knocked the other guy out, except for the Hopkins fight.

Its almost all physical. Your confusing the will of a fighter to carry on fighting after taking severe punishment and the physical reaction of a persons brain when it recieves severe trama. A punch to the head causes the brain to hit against the inside of a persons skull, how a person reacts to this is entirely up to the individual. Some people will not feel too disoriantated while another person may be completely knocked out. A fighter can have all the will in the world to fight but if he takes a big hit and his brain says its time for lights out, theres almost nothing they can do, willing himself not to be knocked out is not going to help.

After the Hagler-Hearns fight, Hearns ased Hagler how he took his right hands. How did he manage to stay up. Hagler replied that he didn't want to go down. There was no way he was going to go down. (this is paraphrased btw)

Chin is physical, powers of recovery has more to do with mental fortitude, either you have it or you don't.

Chin and ability to take punches is definently physical. I mean you can keep a brave front when getting hit with good shots, and maybe psych your opponent out, but if you get caught and you arent built to take that shot, no amount of will power is going to keep you up.

Sure Tito has been down several times but very very rarely actually hurt. Trinidad's balance was never very good and I believe that is what caused him to be dropped so regularly. Even in his stoppage loss to Hopkins it was more just an accumulation of punches that got to him. Tito has a very very good chin IMO.
