Realistically though, Sutherland would knock him out 9/10 times if they ever meet, and that's just domestically.
sutherland would defo beat him as a pro i agree. but neither man are the future of that division. Danny Jacobs is. people dont realise, in Europe the amateur system is terrible, its totally based on amateur boxing, and 95 per cent of amateurs train in amateur gyms, whereas outside of europe, for example america, train in professional gyms, and have a lot more professional style. hence why they have better fighters coming out of their shores, and hence why english amateurs always are more succesful then american ones, but as a pro totally different story, mexicna fighters hardly have an amateur career, if they do it is breif, and look at them for example, always producing great champions. Degale needs to proove himself as a pro first, hes becoming his own worst enemy.

      I'd be really shocked.

That Cuban in the final was just walking straight through him throughout the Gold Medal Match. Sutherland was walking through him too.

DeGale was great defensively IMO, but he just scored points of his rear-hand; they were the only shots seemingly being scored at the olympics.

None of the Brit Olympians look like they can really **** to me.

Why would Calzaghe discredit Degale? Didn't Joe claim American boxing is dead because we lacked a proper Olympic team? If his Olympians don't turn into decent professionals than the medals are useless.

Danny Jacobs is the man. When he said 'I'm not a puncher' despite knocking everyone out super early.

Liked him picking up that guy of they floor after he knocked him out and saying 'This is what we do. We get paid. Good Job'

            Seems very classy.

I do think Sutherland can reach world-level though, and face guys like Jacobs down the line.

DeGale as a character is someone who i can get behind... he's not a knob like Khan so i'll be supporting him until i get tired of Warren taking the piss

Darren Sutherland looks class fair play.

IMO degale has been overhyped by the british media. I watched him in the olympics and he did just look average. He could have easily lost the final (i swear half his punches were slaps or backhands). I wasnt that impressed by too many of the british boxers. I guess i listened to the hype and was dissappointed when they were all just solid average fighters. Khan looked a better prospect then degale imo. Though i hate khan. I cant remember his name but there was the gypsy guy he looked good if i remember correctly untill his final fight.

I think you mean Billy Joe Saunders. His movement was awesome in the first fight but after that he flopped.

To be honest I don't think DeGale has been hyped by the British media barely at all above the general wave of Olympics fever in Britain last summer. Certainly not a fraction of the hype that has surrounded Amir Khan since he won silver in Athens. DeGale does need to get his head down and get some fights under his belt before he utters a word in anger in the pros.

To be honest, I'm quite excited about Darren Sutherland, I think he may turn out to be an A class pro. DeGale seems to be a step lower at the moment though; Haye is right, he does currently have an amateur style, I'm not sure why DeGale is so upset by it being pointed out.
