  • James DeGale Lashes Out at Joe Calzaghe and David Haye

Olympic gold medal winner James DeGale has lashed out at countrymen Joe Calzaghe and David Haye, vowing to make both fighters eat their words. Haye and Calzaghe questioned DeGale's ability to make a big impact as a pro. The 23-year-old middleweight won gold at the 2008 Beijing games. Worse, at least Khan looked like he could make it as a pro before his chin let him down. Degale just looks like a bumbling amateur using a flawed points system to mask his difficiencies.

i reckon he'll do okay, i'd say he's fundamentally better than Khan and seems to have more of a boxing brain, but his physical attributes will stop him from reaching the top level

I dont rate him. And no way is he more talented than Khan. Nothing I seen in his amatuer fights has impressed me. He got a gold, big deal. Amir will achieve more than Degale.
