Margarito over Mosley or Williams over Wright, which is a better win?

Antonio Margarito will be fighting Shane Mosley later on this month for the WBA Welterweight title. Mosley is coming off an impressive 12th round stoppage over Ricardo Mayorga and before that he gave previously undefeated Miguel Cotto all he could handle.

Paul Williams will be fighting Ronald "Winky" Wright in April for the interim WBO Light Middleweight title. Wright will be coming off a near 2 year layoff (21 months to be exact) and a loss to legend Bernard Hopkins. Before that, his last fight will be about 2 and a half years ago in which he beat Ike Quartey.

It's clearly Winky. Not only is it a higher weight, but Winky is better then Shane is or was. Even at age 36 and a year and a half lay off.

Tough question, but I think Mosley is the better win, winky hasnt fought since the Hopkins loss and Mosley gave Cotto hell at 147 in a loss, but also he look like **** in is Ko win against Mayorga at 154, I think the weight was a factor.

winky was just in the pound for pound top 5 before his last fight. winky barely lost to hopkins at a higher weight. mosley could barely beat mayorga.

So we get to judge Mosley off a loss about a year a 2 months ago, but not Winky off a loss of a year and 6 months ago? That doesn't make sense.

Winky is clearly a better fighter then Shane ever was. He not only proved it against him, but he proved it in other ways. You also said weight was a factor for Shane, but it wasn't for Winky? Shane has had more fights at 154 then Winky has at 170. Of course I don't think the weight was a huge deal for Winky either, but Shane is older now and he looked bad against Mayorga.

Winky has a year and a half month layoff, but he is still better then Shane is. That and Williams is moving up to his third weight class against this time a legitimate opponent.

Shane is good, but Winky is a class above.

I think you are right that the weight was a factor for Winky aslo, but Mosley is active and Winki is not. Winky is a fighter, that fights out of coordination, rhithym. And thats the first thing you lose when you take such of long layyoff
