Agreed, its a good fight for fight fans, Sadly can't see it happening unless Cotto beats Margarito and Floyd comes out of retirement and beats Pacquiao.

      Exactly!..

And what makes me think even more about how dumb the mayweather fans can be..is...

Why do u guys like Mayweather if you guys don't want him in the ring with hardly anybody?..all I see is "Cotto?..He lost to that bum Marg"..."Marg?..too slow!"..etc..

I've seen quite a few asking for the Pac fight and it's obvious that he holds the minimal threat on actually hurting you're guys' idol..and because you guys are bitter that he is now the number 1 P4P..Most of you are more worried about that title of being P4P number one than an actually great and exciting matchup!!!

I wanna see Pac vs Floyd..but PERSONALLY...I'd rather see Money May-Cotto square dance!

I always thought he'd have a chance but I never picked him in the hypothetical fight. Now if it ever happens, it'll be after 2 KO losses to Marg and he'll have no chance. Not that it matters yet tho cuz PBF still ain't officially comin back, and if he does he won't fight a WW anyway.

Cotto has a chance to beat mayweather, all the top welterweights do,but if mayweather comes back he will probably fight Pacman instead of any elite welterweight!!

Williams has always been better equipped to beat Mayweather

i think Cotto would handle Floyd's defense relatively well, but not his offense... i think he would be KO'd/TKO'd by Money May

A year ago people laughed at me for thinking Williams could beat Mayweather. Since then Paul has gone 1-1 against a mediocre fighter in Quintana, beat a stiff at MW and a fading 39 yo and now he's a worldbeater from WW to MW.

Styles make fights and Margarito's aggressive all action style might be the thorn in Cotto's side. I believe Cotto can still beat PBF because the one thing you need to be against PBF is an all rounder. De La Hoya came closest to beating him and De La Hoya has always been good at most things rather than great. Cotto's jab and hooks to the body make me believe he can beat Marg. The problem with Pacman is not that he isn't good enough to beat Mayweather but rather his size. Somebody strong with boxing skills and can also take you to the woodshed is the only method to beat PBF. I'm not saying he will but he has the best chance.
Good post MichealLink, i'll go with that - spot on.
