Cotto Still Best Equipped To Beat PBF

Hear me out for a moment. Before the Marg fight everybody was tipping Cotto to beat PBF if PBF came out of retirement. Now suddenly since the Marg defeat nobody has said this at all. This seems to be a classic case of "if you lose a fight you automatically are a bum" which happen all the time in boxing. Styles make fights and Margarito's aggressive all action style might be the thorn in Cotto's side. I believe Cotto can still beat PBF because the one thing you need to be against PBF is an all rounder. De La Hoya came closest to beating him and De La Hoya has always been good at most things rather than great. Cotto's jab and hooks to the body make me believe he can beat Marg. The problem with Pacman is not that he isn't good enough to beat Mayweather but rather his size. Somebody strong with boxing skills and can also take you to the woodshed is the only method to beat PBF. I'm not saying he will but he has the best chance.

Still think Margarito has the best chance of beating him. His non stop ferocious attacks will cause Floyd problems. Floyd beaten guys with Cotto's style before.

Floyd's never fought anyone like cotto, what the hell are you talking about? Hatton doesn't fight anything like Cotto, and neither does Oscar.

Does Castillo come to mind? And these left hooks that Cotto possess, do you actually think he'll catch Floyd with body shots... Did Hatton catch him? No and he was the best body puncher at the time.

I agree. I don't think Margarito can beat him, I Floyd doesn't get tired and has no problem moving around the ring pot shotting him for 12 rounds. Margarito just comes foward, he's too predictable for Floyd.

Cotto's aggression is more measured, he puts pressure on but it's more selective. I think Cotto has the best chance to beat Floyd out of anyone right now. Except maybe Williams.

LOL at someone saying Mayweather spanked 'A better version of Cotto' Castillo 'twice'. He got a gift and won a close but clear decision the second time. Cotto vs Mayweather is still one of the best matches that can be made in boxing.

first of all the fact that castillo is a better version of cotto is hardly debatable. he possessed everything cotto had and much more, such as a granite chin not a glass chin like cotto has. secondly he's not a quitter like cotto. thirdly in the first fight mayweather injured his arm in the first 2 rounds and was outweighed by castillo by over 10lbs and he still wooped castillo's ass. then in the 2nd fight he dominated him even more. 'nuff said.
