Carl Froch and his delusions

3 years ago this fight could have happened and would have been great. Sadly Froch seems to be past it before he ever made it. He's past his physical peak IMO.
It'll never happen now though. You don't get a shot at the P4P #2 these days without at least bringing something to the table - and an alphabet title doesn't count. He needs to clear out at SMW, but I can't see him getting past Kessler.Comment

Froch needs to target the Bika's, Andrade's and Miranda's.
He fights those guys; he will become a very very popular fighter.
Froch is a certain level, a world class fighter but not a special guy. He could be in some classic wars and be loved.Comment

My post centred around the actual content in the video from the thread starter, so was entirely relevant. Not a very relavent point. Froch wanted to fight Taylor for the belt, but Taylor didn't want to know and went for the easier Lacy option. So to say Froch was lucky is silly when he has been; and is still is chasing, Taylor all along. Is it Froch's fault Taylor wasn't interested?
Also, I dont know why people keep dismissing the title just because Joe vacated it as if its totally irrelvent belt or something. Joe vacated because he could no longer fight at SMW. So how does vacating the belt suddenly devalue it?
I also retorted to it, that in fairness to Froch it was more delusional of Calzaghe to say he'd take Froch out in 3, than the other way round. So Calzaghe deserves more criticism on that front more than Froch as the title suggests.
Chunk, valid point pal and could see it coming. Not wanting to get into one on Eubank but he wasn't that past it to lose to the Pascal we saw there imo, and I think most's. Although I was quite impressed with him and Froch somewhat, and submitted a thread at the time to say as much.
Pascal would not have beaten either, any of the other top guys at SMW like Kessler, Taylor for instance, even though for a while I thought he'd present someone like Taylor with problems. A closer inspection, and for me neither are on to majorly big things. Froch, if he faces Taylor and Kessler in 09 will come out with a loss. I'm sorry, respect for the recent war and performance as I wanted to be more impressed, but that itself speaks volumes.
I agree with Sparked in that Froch could probably do well out of bouts with Bika (underated) and Mundine however. I don't see Kessler or Taylor slowing down even 12 months down the line though so they can't be avoided forever.Comment

And they're amazing talkers, fun to listen to when they go to the media about opponents and other fighters.
I put Froch in the same tax bracket as Haye but Haye is a far better talker IMO. Haye has that **** down to a fine art.Comment
