Not a very relavent point. Froch wanted to fight Taylor for the belt, but Taylor didn't want to know and went for the easier Lacy option. So to say Froch was lucky is silly when he has been; and is still is chasing, Taylor all along. Is it Froch's fault Taylor wasn't interested?
Also, I dont know why people keep dismissing the title just because Joe vacated it as if its totally irrelvent belt or something. Joe vacated because he could no longer fight at SMW. So how does vacating the belt suddenly devalue it?
You might not have heard of Pascal....
I wish people would stop with this Taylor nonsense. Anyone and his dog knows Taylor was not interested in fighting Froch for the WBC belt. Taylor went for the walk in the park Lacy.Last edited by medium-deek; 01-03-2009, 02:53 PM.Comment

That's a bit unfair mate, Pascal was unknown but looked world class! Well he did to me anyway. To be fair Joe said the same thing, which is more ridiculous. Although a TKO is definitely possible because a lot of punches probably would go un answered.
What's most delusional, is actually Froch saying Pascal may have beaten any top guy.
Now that, is delusional. It was Calzaghe's old vacated belt, which you were lucky enough to fight a much lesser fighter to win it, and still just.
Carl is a wee bit big for his boots unfortunately, because if he faces Taylor and Kessler within the next 18 months, I almost guarantee he'll come away with a loss. Not so for Calzaghe.
If you you're gonna use that notion against Froch, then you could say Calzaghe won a vacant belt against an out of prime and old Eubank. Same thing when you look at it.
Calzaghe used to be in Froch's shoes, he shouldn't talk really. He was making the same noises back when he was unknown.Comment

Pascal took long breaks from the 7th round on, hardly throwing anything and trying to dodge punches with slight head movements. He presented very little threat to Carl in the 2nd half of the fight. He showed no defense, no jab, and threw arm punches.
Seriously, there are only 12 steps... with the first one being the hardest. Get help!Comment
