WTF so what if Cotto quit

He sustained a bloody noise from round 2. Round 11 he was bleeding from the nose and mouth very badly and was in very bad condition to continue. Why should he continue to take unnecessary punishment when clearly Margarito was the better man that night?

How can you call him a coward when he was among the very few that even stepped in he ring with Margarito? Not quitting would be just plain ******, why should he risk his health and career just so the fans can get an extra few minutes of bloody action? There was no need, the fight was action packd from round 1 as Lampley said: "a modern day boxing classic".

Plus that's ASSUMING he quit, which most of us doubt.

I don't think Cotto "quit." He just punched himself out from loading up too much on his punches. Cotto's corner should have stopped the fight when Cotto was unable to defend himself and was obviously to tired and beaten up too continue.

Wow imagine a boiled down SMW having to much for a blown up LWW, Marg would look natural in a ring with most of the top 10 SMW's.

In fact the only time marg got in a ring with someone his own size he lost.

                *Marg hating off....

And don't get me started on Paul "Should be a Light Heavy" Williams.

Sad refection of PWill is that he would both tower over Glen johnson and have a reach advantage.

You know the Glen Johnson clamouring for a fight against Calzaghe and Dawson...

IMO i glad that he "quit" instead of taking more punishment. i still want to see cotto fight for a couple more years. he is exciting. Fighter fight because they want to fight, they want to make money. They dont fight because they want to please us.
