I think Cotto beats Chavez at any weight.

Cotto didn't have a good chin at 140 and was weight drained. I'd say JCC by early K.O. Also JCC was very durable and was just plain hard to hurt

Chavez vs Cotto at 140! Who wins and how?
Miguel Cotto was weight drained and weaker at 140, Julio Cesar Chavez would be too much for him and would stop him round about the 9th round.

          Geez man...LOL

Who are you going to pick next for another of your dream matches to try and prove Cotto would lose?

Here's some candidates you could use next time:

          Bigfoot
          Santa Clause
          Rocky Balboa
          Alf
          Jason Voorhees

I'd even pick Hatton over Cotto at 140. No seriously, Cotto couldn't take punches from Mayweather's left overs, no offense. Cotto made a HUGE improvement at 147

So yeah, this is a mismatch

              chavez destroys cotto at 140.

I like chavez by decision against cotto at 147.

                Close one.

Cotto fighting someone his own size is already an advantage.
Much respect for Julio Cesar Chavez and his accomplishments. He was a seek and destroy fighter who had trouble with guys that can move well and box which is what Cotto is best at (plus he has power). Cotto is better than Frankie Randall, and I believe as good as Hoya. Cotto's skill is about as good as Meldrick Taylor (minus a little speed). If Frankie could beat Chavez and Hoya destroyed him, Meldrick Taylor had that fight in the bag minus the last 10 seconds then Cotto wins. Cotto Decision but close 114- 112...because I have much respect for Chavez.

Miguel Cotto would never beat a prime JCC. Never....

Frankie Randall did....and if you saw the Taylor fight ..you know whats up.
I wont mention Whitaker because he had more defense and speed, but less power than Cotto plus the end was controversial.

Frankie Randall beat an old past his prime Chavez, you all know that. And Taylor, he got KTFO. Chavez broke his face and sent him to the hospital for a week, much like what happened to Cotto in the Margarito fight.
