Boxing would benefit from a singular, central governing body.

Similar to the UFC. This would ensure there is no ducking/dodging between fighters and would eliminate all the freaking belts. I know this isn't a new idea but it would do nothing but help boxing.

yes it would. There would also be bad ***** as well though, I mean look at the UFC where a 2-1 fighter can fight a champ. There is good and bad with both systems.

But yeah, at the very least there should be only 2 governing bodies.

Boxing is too big for that too happen, what it needs is HBO and SHO to put their foot down and only pay for quality fights. The fans already put their foot down not buying every damn PPV that is thrown our way, it's HBO and SHO turn now.

No ****? lol this has been beaten to death. Boxing is too dirty for cleaning. only when the mobs stop making money out of it the good people can take over and make it happen. But do u really think the arums, kings or hoyas of this world will let any of this happen? no.

I disagree.. Look at FIFA and Football.
Football is the biggest sport in the world and it is under one banner.
There are only ten boxers in each top ten too so it shouldn't be too hard.

Why would promoters around the world keep developing talent if they know eventually those fighters would sign with the main org and they would get shut out???

Plus the main org would not be able to keep the fighters under contract like the UFC does and that main org would eventually break up to what boxing is now, it's going to happen to the ufc sooner or later and they will end up just like boxing.

People are getting caught up into thinking the UFC is the way to go, I already posted earlier what the boxing PPV cards would look like if they were on a monthly basis like the UFC and didn't have SHO or HBO backing them up.
