I wont include marciano, johnson, dempsey and louis etc due to lack of footage available to truly rate them personally. Foreman was to strong for ali until tiring in the jungle but i cant imagine lewis being able to 'pull of the rope a dope' and take that amount of punishment.
    cum????? lol

Lennox Lewis is the greatest Heavyweight of all time IMO.

Match Lennox up against any great Heavyweight and Lennox holds all the cards.

He'd beat anyone in any era IMO. I don't care if i get slated for this post, am just being honest. He was that good!

He'd kick your ass in a game of chess too.

      Carry on.

Best ever, no, not by a long way. I'm not even sure about top ten across all eras... although its really impossible to compare the likes of Lewis, Ali or Foreman with fighters such as Joe Louis, Jack Dempsey and Jack Johnson.

Of the 'modern' era fighters (Ali onwards) I'd actually put Larry Holmes at the top of the list. He just should have quit after losing to Tyson.

Ability wise, there is a very good case. His chin is actually somewhat underrated. The two dudes who iced him were power heavies... they didn't have many other angles to their game, and he got caught flush. Neither one really KO'd him either. He got waved off, but he was at least making an effort to get up... he didn't seem completely done is what I'm saying.

His size/jab would be a great asset to him.

Wladimir Klitschko would be a good fight for him, because it would be like fighting yourself for both. Whoever gets the first flush right hand probably wins that fight.

Larry Holmes is another good name to have against Lewis. Lewis's jab would probably be inferior in this fight, so he would have to depend on other parts of his game to make up for it.

George Foreman is another good name to have up against Lewis.

          Ali is obviously up there.

Everyone else is probably too small in order to have a really great case of why they would beat Lewis.

Anyone who does'nt have Lewis in there top 10 Heavyweights OAT are just haters. For me he is behind only Ali or Louis.

            He unified his division
            Made 15 consecutive title defences
Held the belt 3 seperate times
Has an excellent resume ( Compared to past HW's )
And In a head to head i would favour an IN Shape, Focused Lennox over any Hw in history
He sadly won't ever get the credit he deserves though as he wasn't American and wasn't as exciting as other Heavyweights.

Co-sign those who call Lennox top 10 but not the best ever.

lewis is probably the second greatest hw right after ali. there's no way that marciano should be rated higher than lewis. lewis has better names, more defenses, and skillwise it's not a question who was better. lewis also outboxes louis the same way he outboxed morrison, tua, etc. the style of being flatfooted is what lewis was best at fighting against.

How about you match him in a rematch against Vitali, which he so desperately avoided.

Put Lewis against a prime Tyson and a prime Foreman and I do not know how long he would last.

A case can be made for him entering the top 10 ATG heavyweights, but certainly not the greatest.

Lewis beat Vitali the first time round, and he was in **** shape.

prime tyson would be favorited against any hw in history besides ali. but you can't call him the greatest because his potential wasn't met.
