      And the situations are similiar

Floyd was offered to fight Margarito, the consensus biggest threat in his division but Margarito was not a big enough draw to satisfy Floyds needs which were big money fights
      (Oscar, Hatton)

Margarito was offered to fight Williams, the consensus biggest threat in his division but Williams was not a big enough draw to satisfy Margaritos needs which were big money fights
      (Cotto, Mosley)

The fact that Williams has already beaten Margarito makes Marg look worse as he has a chance to avenge a defeat. Also is'nt Marg making less with the Mosley fight than he would with the Williams fight.

I absolutly agree with you on this post.

what you have to wonder.. is whyyy does he's thinking on facing pac now??? we all know that pac is on fire right now.. but he hasnt been a BIG DRAW by himself yet!!!... you know.. now we have to wait.. to see if he just become one after his performance in his last 2 fights......

you see.. i do agree with you on your post.. and thats very logical to me.

why hes choosing pac?? money??? it cant be.....

he will get more money with hatton.... and i bet he will get more if he fights cotto..... than fighting pac

cotto aint no big draw either... but b4 pacquiao last performance... he was definitly ahead of manny in terms of ppv draw power....

money by it self... ermmmm.. dont think so

        How is that remotely similar?
I wouldn't be quick to jump into a rematch with the guy that beat my ass either.

            they just fought last year.

do you know how often immediate rematches are in boxing?

            it doesn't happen often.

besides......marg wanted an immediate rematch and williams people turned it down.

now he wants a rematch because marg is the man at 147 now after beating cotto.

Mayweather is DAMN good no denying that...Lets be real Honest what kind of numbers was he pulling before DLH? Everybody jumps at the opportunity to fight Oscar because he brings all the attention from mainstream fans..He wasnt popular enough to sell out arenas and put up numbers by himself. he needs someone else. If he was such big money people watch you fight not your opponent.Perfect example is Tyson he could sell out MSG right now and sell PPVs like nother if he showed up and fought Tye Fields..WHY BECAUSE WE WANT TO SEE HIM...Mayweather is not the best and he still has more to prove...What is he known for right now........BEating DLH,Gatti,Castillo,judah,...nah hes is remebered for leaving the sport when real competition stepped up the plate..All of a sudden he's retiring...Why not just rematch DLh? Because he prob had a feeling he got a gift in the first fight..Would you pass up a supposed easy fight and the chance to double up on millions because you just felt like retiring..Nah Brah...

What's the difference in a rematch then, and a rematch now?

                  money.

a cotto rematch would bring in lots of dough. you can't risk that kind of money. he can always fight paul after.

look at cotto. he's taking a tuneup before the rematch too. it's too risky to jeopardize the money the rematch will make plus marg-cotto will be for the ring belt.

shane mosley is a big name designed to enhance marg's name even more before the rematch. plus mosley is probably more money anyway.
