NEVER count out an Undefeated Puncher of Valero's caliber!

But from what ive seen i agree with the general feel here way too crude and wide open.

APPARENTLY he a damn good boxer tho, just fell in love with his power too much now, thats what i heard

I've heard the same, he supposedly has skills but abandons them in the ring. Doug Fischer said the only fighters who he has seen training as good as Valero are a Prime Mosley at LW and a Prime Mayweather at 130

with a good promoter and the right match-ups he could turn into the real deal. he needs to learn to stop looking for the KO, with his power and ability it will come. he has alot of potential, would be interesting to see how sturdy his chin is. if its half as good as his chin he could turn out to be pretty damn good.

I'm afraid we might never know, unless he can find a way to fight in the big stages. Talk about HIGH risk, low REWARD

Which is precisely the reason I wanna see him with quality opponents, how he'll stack up.

If that freakish power hits any quality opponent, I think it could make the fight competitive and unpredictable.

Can't really blame the guy since he hasn't been cleared to fight in the United States it makes it really hard. If I was him I would go to Germany or Britain and make a name for myself there. Anyway, just how good is he?
I been wanting to see him fight a top ten guy but no luck.. will he ever get a break? Will we ever see if he is just hype or really as good as many think he is?
I'm a fan but just about anyone would beat him...one of the very few brawlers I find entertaining to watch.

Put it this way, without his power he wouldn't be where he is now.

i guess with the opposition he's faced.

                  watch the Mosquera fight.

Mosquera ate clean shots all night.. downed twice in the 1st, gets up each time, and fires back to return a KD on Valero on the 3rd...
it took Valero 7 more rounds of non-stop powerpunching before finally stopping the sturdy former WBA 130-lb. champ..
an entertaining pub brawl, a no defense macho slugfest lol ..
Valero was previously on a 19W/19KO, 18 by 1st round KO, streak vs. tomato cans

I like Valero. As we all know he does have a punch, I don't think hes as powerful as his record indicates but I don't think hes as bad of a boxer than most of the people that responded to this thread. Valero can fight in Texas now and I believe I read that his next fight is against a top 10 guy for a belt. From what I've seen I think Ed has average to slightly above average defense, good power, and has good ring iq when it comes to backing people up and making them respect.
