    How good is Edwin Valero?

There are times where I think he is the real deal but then again there are times when I say.. well look at the level of opposition he's been in against.
Can't really blame the guy since he hasn't been cleared to fight in the United States it makes it really hard. If I was him I would go to Germany or Britain and make a name for myself there. Anyway, just how good is he?
I been wanting to see him fight a top ten guy but no luck.. will he ever get a break? Will we ever see if he is just hype or really as good as many think he is?

if he's still the same as ive seen in any of his vids, then he'll lose to any of the top lightweights, hell even to a past prime mab/em. i've read he has a new trainer(?) and that he put more defense to his game w/c is good, but we'll have to see.

I haven't really been impressed by him, he has power but that's about it, he's wide open to counter shots and technically, he's not very good.

Freakish stopping power. That's the only good point that I see in Valero.

          Boxing skills? Below average.

          Defense? Poor.

          Quality of opposition? Poor.

          Chin? still untested.

that's the plain truth of the matter.

I'd like to see that punching power to the test against a top contender though.
Is it really that he has that much power or the opposition he facing?

Valero is avarage fighter, not bad, but not too good.

He have phenomenal power, but thats about it. A Guzman or a Juan Diaz would make Valero look like a fool in the ring. I think he should fight a guy like Katsidis that can make him look good, but the top dogs will definetly, box the **** out of him!!!!!!

Sure he's been fighting nobodies. But 24 wins and 24 by Ko is still impressive.

the only time ive seen with SOME skills is on youtube sparring...its a totally diff fighter in a live match... he seems to abandon the skill and just head hunt..i sont think his stamina and conditioning is not good enough to hang with the elite..i even think a shot EM will outbox his ass...but dont get me wrong...to quote a saying that pavlik says" the guy hits like mule" thats my take on edwin valero...i just wanna see him fight someone like linares, soto, or even joan guzman...and as far as him callin out pac all these years...pac may kill him and thas why i dont want to fight him..yadidimean?
