I'm interested to see how they look after that fight. Eventho Santos rocked Margarito on their second fight, I thought Cotto landed more clean, career affecting shots on Margarito. Same can be said about Cotto and that nasty nose bleed.

      thats what elite fighters do!!!

still wonder how some fanatics question cottos heart.... for taking a knee.

I think that margarito has more chances now to beat cotto now than in their first fight.....

with that being said.... voy a mi gallo!! Cotto Clear UD

      yes in deed....!!

still.... even that cotto did all he could in their 1st fight....

i expect him to push himself way more to the limit where he can put a boxing clinic like in use to do in his early fights.... cotto have the skills to outbox margarito.

I think the nose bleed had something to do with it, but I think an ever bigger reason is the velocity training **** and building all those muscles is off. Cotto will never be stronger than Margo or more active. I feel they should've focused his training on circling, boxing and deffense. All those muscles made Cotto tired late in Mosley fight and started breathing outta his mouth by the time the Gomez fight ended. Boxing and building muscles don't mix imo.

Good point...I never even thought of that

Its a possibility. I have a feeling Cotto might do better 2nd time around, but I still think he'd lose. He's not durable or slick enough to stay away for 12 rounds.

Some of ya'll ain't giving Cotto any credit for the first fight. He got hurt in the 7th round and still continued to throw and land clean solid punches from the 8th-11th round. There's no doubt he's got heart.

I think he needs to just pace himself and not try to knock Marg out because it seemed like that's what he was going for. He's gotta attempt to go to the body even if he's just hitting Marg's arms because that alone can do a number on any fighter if they're continuously getting hit through 8-9 rounds.

If Cotto's is taking the rematch and his camp wants it too, they must believe he can win and that attitude alone is a good start headed towards June.

been stopped in the fashion that cotto was is gonna play on your mind no matter who you fight and fighting jennings is gonna do nothing to prepare him for the rematch. he will look fantastic against jennings and every1 will be crying from the roof tops cottos back to hes best , cottos a beast gonna **** up toni but when he steps in the ring with toni thats when wel see the real cotto.
unlike the first fight cotto will no from the off everything he throws is gonna bounce off toni and hes gonna closing the distance all night throwing them hooks he loves to throw ill be surprised if cotto lasts 5 this time around
What he does different if he's smart is forget about trying to hurt Marg - aint gonna happen, just throw snappy quick scoring shots no need to load up. That will help him save energy while building points. Move around Tony and not back straight up and into the ropes as often. And MOST importantly CLINCH the muther ****er! Tie em up, it gives Cotto a breather, runs out the clock and stifles Tonys attacks all at once!

If Cotto does that (just a few minor adjustments) He wins.

Also i think a HUGE factor was the bust nose, have u ever tried fighting with a bust nose? Ask Izzy Vazquez it aint easy! But Hey Margarito Bust it, it didnt bust its self so no excuses but how likely is the same injury to happen again and even if it does how likely to happen so damn early?

You might be right. Marg is going to go straight for juggler from the opening bell. Cotto is going to have to trade with him and get some respect outta him this time, but that is dangerous thing to do.
