Just because you're taller, doesn't mean you're body is bigger. In all honesty, Margarito is probably the bigger guy against Williams. Just the shape of Williams body allows him to move up with more success.

Reardless, if you can make the weight and still be successful, you can belong in the division. Simple as that.

Agreed... he can fight as many 147 lbers as he wants since there is technically no height restriction, but he won't get my respect until he starts fighting bigger guys.

By the way, I'm with the majority of people replying in here. If he can make the weight safely, why not??? He's not the only freakishly-tall guy fighting at lower weight divisions. Isn't Celestino Caballero over 6 ft. and fighting at superbantamweight?!?!? How about that guy Nate Campbell is fighting next...Funeka??? He's over 6 ft. too I think.

Margarito is pretty big for the division but not as big as Williams, so I don't feel I'm watching quite as much of a freakshow.

Like I said, I don't have a problem with it from a technical standpoint since there are no height restrictions... it's just personal taste. It's not fun for me to watch a 6'3" guy with freakishly long arms take on WWs (Margarito being another freakish exception, since he is closer in size to Williams).

If Williams wants to take more fights at 147 and there are fans who enjoy it, it's their perogative. Just not my cup of tea.

Margarito isn't that big, I never get it when people say he is a massive weter - he isn't. Sure he is tall but he has a slim waist and fairly skinny limbs. Paul williams is far bigger than him.
