what does cotto have to do to beat marg???

Im just wondering. I think what he did during the first fight was the best thing for him to do. But what can he do now to beat marg.

I think if marg comes out right away he will finish cotto even faster. He always waits till later in the fight to start pressuring and swinging

Cotto needs to use what worked (boxing) and add what he has always done but couldn't in the first fight (body punching). I think in the first fight he was too intent on winning exchanges and not on winning the fight. He has to realize that Margs can take his best shots so he needs to win a decision.

He should use movemnt like the first fight but not let himself get caught against the ropes. Also I think the reality of Tonys chin surprised Cotto in the first fight. Throw out the idea of trying to hurt the guy and win on points. I think Cotto got a bit discouraged when he saw that his shots didn't seem to be bothering Tony. Wich I understand cause those were some damn hard shots.

He would have to move a lot more, exchange a lot less. I really don't think he can stay away from Tony long enough, maybe to survive a hard fought decision at best. The problem is that it is very likely that Tony will be even more aggresive this time.

-First of all, he should draw a strategy to avoid those uppercuts.

-Keep the fight at the center of the ring.

-Hold at the end of those exchanges near the ropes.

-Look for more openings to the body.

          -Staminaaaaaa.

Note: Tony is a beast. Cotto should focus on score rds and not to trade for too long.

Tony took some massive shots early on, cotto stayed in there too long, started running straight back instead of turning Margo. Better conditioning and some clinching and infighting would help.

his defense was really good one minute, the next it was straight ass.he should really anticipate marga's overhand right for the left hook to the body.that was something he use to do.

joshua clottey said it himself, with magarito u dont need to move ur body
                  just move ur head
it was working beautifully for him until he hurt his hand

                    Simple

                    Clinch
                    Protect himself from the uppercut

Remember alot of experts picked against Cotto...reason being because of the uppercut
