Unless Vazquez is struggling with the weight i'd stay at 122 as there are some very big fights for him their etc Rafael Marquez 4,Celestino Caballero,Juan Manuel Lopez. As i belive there fights would be bigger than the ones at 126 and i dout he could get to the number 1 at featherweight in John as i don't think John would be willing to come out his homeland for him and i think it would be a bad move Vazquez going over to Indonesia.

I hope he stays and fight Juanma. Thats the fight that makes sense. Theres no money at 126. They need to unify 122, before anyone moves up in weight. juanma is moving up also, but he is trying to get the top 122 first.

I think if Vazquez moves up, you will see Juanma,Caballero and Marquez moving up right away!!!!!
Agreed. But I think Juanma needs to unify at 122 before moving up. If Vazquez doesn't fight Lopez at 22 I say he ducked him.

He more or less said he will fight whoever if the money is right. You would be surprised at how much money Vazquez could make against someone like a Chris John or a Rocky Juarez as oppossed to a Juanma. Juanman doesn't exactly make a fortune per fight, Izzy makes a lot more than him.

True, but so far he's fought the very best out there, he takes on the very best, Juanma is a tougher test than John and Juarez. If he beats Juanma, I could easily see him knocking off BHop off the 3rd spot in p4p rankings.

Juanma isn't on the P4P list and he hasn't accomplished what Pavlik has...so I don't know how that will work. Plus JMM is also ahead of Izzy and I don't think he'll Knock off Marquez

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Juarez is a very tough fight and John has a win over Marquez and a lot of other rugged overseas guys on his record. Other than Ponce De Leon, who Caballero beat as well, Juanma doesn't have the experience for a guy like Vazquez and his resume is littered with guys who came for a paycheck.

The one thing Juanma is, is unproven. We all know styles make fights, I honestly don't see Vazquez taking those hooks and beating Juanma at this stage, Vazquez has gone thru too many wars.

They didn't fight for a title and didn't fight at Pavlik's weight, Hopkins had an advantage there. I guess in Marquez case you can make an argument, when you compare their recent wins thou and if he beats Lopez and takes his title............

May have not been for a title but Pavlik was still what...6th on the P4P list before he lost to B-Hop and since we're talkin P4P...Izzy beating Lopez would PROBABLY take JMM's spot but I don't think so. You are who you beat...regardless of how good of a fighter you are.

yes, but its not the same to beat a champ, at his own weight class than have him come up to yours and beat him there. Eventhou I think Hopkins could KO Pavlik at MW, he proved what we all knew before the fight, that he would outbox Pavlik silly. Vazquez is an old lion, taking on an upcomer like Lopez, whose last 4 fights or so have lasted like 5 rounds, is a big risk, plus if he beats him it happens at their own weight.
