Listen up. Hopkins told Pavlik to get straight back in the gym and listen to his coach. Bend his knees and get some slickness like a black fighter. He said if Kelly doesn't do that, he'll go over there with a baseball bat and make him do it. I forget the exact wording, but I have the video right here on my PC. I can type it out for you, but do I have to?

You have simply misinterpreted what Hopkins was saying. If Hopkins was training him, it would be big news in the boxing world.

pavlik needs to work on lateral movement and keeping his knees bent. he's a pretty stiff fighter, in the hopkins fight his lack of movement was evident. that and leading with power punches.

Dude, you just don't get it, do you? All you did is repeat what Lampley said and jump to conclusions.

Here's some of what Hopkins said. It's hard to decipher all of it due to the microphone positioning.

So yeah, Hopkins did kinda take Kelly under his wing, he obviously respects Kelly. But that does not mean he is coaching him.

Pavlik was seriously overrated on this forum before the Hopkins fight, I mean he sounds like a cool and humble dude and all but **** me, people were acting like he was a reincarnation of Carlos "****in" Monzon, they wanted him to face Calzaghe but he'd get slapped silly against Joe in a lacy-esque performance.

Trust me,in the beginning Pavlik was written off and ridiculed. No one thought he had a chance against Miranda or Taylor. He gained the respect as an underdog so now when no one thinks he has a chance his win over Abraham will shock the haters. If he wins.......
