What I don't understand is how Arthur Abraham crept into the mix. This is a guy who fights 15 pounds below Joe's current weight. Is it a case of some people desperately clutching at straws for an opponent they think can beat him or what?

Joe signed the contract to come to America and fight Bernard back in 2002. Hopkins also signed, then pulled out. He blamed Don King. These are facts, feel free to look it all up.

Dawson - won't be enuf $ in it for him to take it
Kessler - already beat his ass clearly enuf that a rematch ain't necessary
Hopkins - won't rematch him, and won't be much demand for it cuz it was dull
AA - won't happen cuz he ain't gonna go to 175 and Joe won't go back to 168
Froch - won't be enuf $ in this either

there won't be enough money in any of these fights, unless they happen in England anyway. joe's not a big draw over here, so if he's expecting an unbelievable payday w/ a fight over here he's mistaken. i odo think hopkins and dawson would fight him in england if the fight presented itself tho. im not ruling out hbo putting up the $$$ for the fight either, if dawson disposes of tarver again like the first fight.....

i've always said, i'd have given calzaghe bigger props for beating dawson, than for beating rjj last month.....but hey, boxing is a business, these guys fight for money.....but dawson aint no jeff lacy, i'd love to see that fight if calzaghe continues on.
