After Pacquiao, who will be the new face in Boxing?

Who you guys think? I only ask because supposely 2009 will be Manny's last year as he said last year that he'll be running for elections again in 2010 and he had planned on retiring in 2009. So let's assume all that will happen and 09 will in fact be his last year, who will be the new face of boxing for those that believe Pacquiao is the new as basically Oscar passed it on to him now.

he hasn't even started his time as the face of boxing yet.... 2009 is his year in that respect

be a real shame if he retires so soon

and to answer your question, i guess Cotto if he beats Marg in the rematch or Floyd if he comes back

Floyd will never come back. He doesn't give **** about his fans or the public wants him to fight. He doesn't care about you. All he cares is ducking challenges.

Victor Ortiz, Abner Mares, JCC JR. because of they are protected bums and 50+ millions of their supporters.

Dumb ass Filipino promoters let their 19 and 20 years old prospects fight 27-30 years old champions on their prime.

Philippines don't give a damn about their fighters it's all about making quick bucks.

Filipino promoters should learn from Mexicans.

                1. Don't let your fighter fight below 23 years old.
                2. Let them fight bums like Resto, midget like Gabi and garbage like Vanda hahaha.
                3. Let them fight 34 years old Barrera and 38 years old Cassamayor and call them the greatest. that's so SHAMEFUL.

After 2009? My short list would include Juan Manuel Lopez, Jorge Linares, Victor Ortiz, Edwin Valero and Miguel Cotto. Ortiz and Valero have to be tested still, but the talent and excitement is obvious. We have to see how Cotto comes back from his first defeat. Though, it anything, Cotto seems like he's going to be one of those great, talented and exciting but also flawed fighters. I did't include Margarito because he's already over 30 and I just don't think he's going to be able to take that kind of punishment much longer. As well, he appears very beatable against quick, slick boxers who don't feel the need to engage him.
