So Mayweather would need a win over a Top WW and Pac to be GREATER then B-Hop?

          Antwun Echols
          Johnson
          Howard Eastman

Was the underdog against and beat
          Tarver
          Tito
          Pavlik

Although none give him credit for this...he also beat
          DLH
          Winky

          Lost 3 controversial decisions to
Calzaghe, and JT twice. This while being past his prime

Only fighters to CLEARLY beat him
          Clinton/ RJJ

Mayweather NEVER faced that kind of opposition or you can say...Mayweather wasn't consistent in facing that kind of opposition.
I'm going to have to respectfully disagree.

B Hop has faced some tough competition but his resume is nowhere near as impressive as Mayweathers.

Take into account the weights at which Mayweather fought too, and remember that the smaller the man, the harder to climb weight divisions.

First man to beat Corrales (dropped him 5 times in the process), beat Castillo twice, beat ODLH at 154, 24 pounds higher than he originally fought at, gave Hatton his only loss to date, beat Judah at 147, I could go on.

On just names alone I'd call it even, but taking everything into account, Mayweather has the better resume.

I'd LOVE to make a poll but people hate Mayweather so ofcourse it wouldn't be fair. We'll agree to disagree

That's the problem on this site, everyone is blinded by their likes and dislikes.

I don't particularly like Mayweather myself, but I am able to rate his achievements without bias, and IMHO he is one of the best (if not THE best) of our generation.

There are a few others who are able to debate open mindedly about fighters they dislike, but sadly they are few and far between.

I'm a HUGE fan of both. IF Pac can get past Hatton then Mayweather vs Pac it is...Not so sure about Margarito getting past Cotto a 2nd time.

Mayweather clearly has the better resume out of the two of them. Hopkins has a couple of decent late wins but aside from the two welterweights and Glen Johnson he beat noone of note in his 19 defenses at Middleweight.

                    19. Because a no contest is not a defense.

Im having my reservations too. I picked against Cotto last time allthough im a big fan of his, but this time im thinking he could pull it off too. I have n't made my mind up which way to go on that fight yet.
