during roy jones light heavy reign only 1 of his opponents were never in the top 10 ring magazine rankings.

during hopkins 20 title defenses only 4 of his opponents were never in the top 10 ring magazine rankings at that weight. 1 of them was glen johnson by the way.

and look out of calzaghes 21 title defenses 13 of his opponents were never in the top 10 ring magazine rankings. and manfredo actually was in the top 10 at some point showing how terrible that division really is.

are you gonna say the ring magazine rankings are **** and biased against euros? maybe the wbo rankings are a lot better since they have dead guys ranked and gary lockett as the number 1 middleweight.
    damn the truth hurts!!!!!!!!!!!!

To be honest....its not his chin, its his physical size, he is pretty big. Jones was much bigger than Trinidad, Calzaghe was just as big as Jones

he recovers well and adapts. But that chin has been tested twice now at this level and has failed both tests..Just like Dawsons...He got it tapped a few times and dropped once and wobbled all over the place against Johnson, even tho he to adapted and recovered..

Just because you can avoid punches and accumulate alot of fights without being knocked down doesn't mean you have an iron chin, in Bernard Hopkins or Floyd Mayweathers case.

a fighter can go down for alot of reasons - zaghes first 2 KD's were partially down to poor balance and big punches, however his KD vs hopkins was a push and the one vs RJ was a blatant forearm.

it might soub like im mkaing excuses but think of it this way. the measure of a fighters chin is how often you see them hurt, ricky may not have been down as many times as joe but do you think he has a better chance i have seen ricky hurt more times (collazo, Mayweather, lazcano) than i'v seen joe hurt.

in fact iv followed joe in his career and i really can't pinpoint many times were i think he was hurt or in trouble, there was one time when he was facing hopkins and a punch was thrown after the bell but thats about it.

as for the powers of recovery well thats actually alot of bull. i mean if hes never really been hurt how do we know if he can recover from it? hesshown that he can recover from a KD and go onto dominate a fight but like i said unless hes been hurt we don't know how good his ability to recover really is.
