Vitali Klitschko is a modern Jess Willard.

Managing to win by luckily cutting the opponent in a fight you were losing is hardly called "beating".

Do cuts just appear because of luck?

The cut that Lewis managed to open on Vitali above the eye was lucky. He grazed him with the side of his glove in a clinch. The one below was a legit result of clean punching.

However, no matter the result people will remember that fight for what it is, and what it turned out to be. The only shame is that Lewis did not give Vitali a rematch in a multi million PPV deal, and to settle any doubt what "couldve" happened had there was no cut.

Instead Lewis had his own doctors examine Vitali, decided that he did not want an immediate rematch and made Vitali go through Kirk Johnson first, then sat on the title for a couple of months, and finally retired.

Lewis weighed his options and made the smart choice, he knew he had little chance in winning the rematch with a now sky confident Vitali Klitschko, who would have had 4-6 months to prepare for the fight.

Vitali was the best alongside LL 4 years ago or how many years ago was it? But we dont know if Vitali is the best at this minute. Wlad might be better. Haye might be better than Vitali in a one off boxing fight. If Haye beats Vitali there is no way Haye wont box Wlad.
Either way we will find out how good Vitali is and Haye.

I do think Peter is the worst champion since Bruce Seldon but it took Vitali to make that **** look patently obvious.

I always thought Peter was not anything like world class.

I'd pick guys like Danny Williams and Matt Skelton to beat him. He was very carefully matched.

In reality you can pick a bunch of guys from 168 that would humiliate the cumbersome Peter who really isn't a legitimate puncher at the top level because he has absolutely zero explosiveness and throws everything after a letter arrives to his opponent to inform them of what is coming.

I do agree that Peter somewhat flattered Vitali as he was just standing in front of him. But still Vitali is by far the hardest fight Haye has ever had i think he has a chance though.
