This is a fight I'd like to see. I think Glen deserves this fight after all the **** he's been through. But Johnson's style is similar to Joe's, through lot and keep coming forward, the antithesis of someone like Hopkins, only Joe is faster and has more variety than Glen, Jones and Hopkins whilst past their best are two of the best counter-punchers the sport has seen over the last 25 years so they were able to pick holes in Joe's defense (albeit not often), Glen would be a more straight forward proposition.

Hmm... Why did Joe pull out of their 2006 bout and never fight him then? Joe got knocked down by Hopkins and Jones by half strenth punches. Sorry, I love Joe and all, but Johnson has a cancerous style and would batter Joe in Wales but get robbed on the scorecards!!

I think that last statement is all that anyone needs to know about you.

Dawson never gets mentioned, yet he's the champion, the linear fkin champion who got Glen's tittle. How much more of these hype pro jobs does we need to see to conclude Joe is a fraud? I needed only one and that was a long time ago. If i remember right i used to be a fan until Kessler. I liked him and i thought he would tackle bigger challenges from then on. Instead he goes for old Bernard, ok, so everyone needs a tuneup and then he fight Jones avoiding the champion in the division! That would be like Lewis fighting Mercer instead of Vitali for his last fight or Mayweather fighting old Tszu instead of Ricky Hatton for his last fight!
Who is trying to hype Froch? Not Calzaghe...he doesnt want to fight him. While you're throwing stones from your glass house, you should have a look at the quality of opponents your boy has been fighting lately, old washed up Glen Johnson (who beat him in reality) and then old washed up Antonio Tarver. Hardly in a position to mock Calzaghe for doing the same thing that he's doing himself. At least Calzaghe has fought the young hungry up and coming fighters like Lacy and Kessler (who I'd favour over Dawson anyway)...when was the last time Dawson did?

Glen needs to STFU!!!! Chad dominated him for at least 8 rounds. Johnson came on strong in the end, but it was not enough to win. Since when does public opinion mean anything in boxing? The judges saw the fight correctly, deal with it. I for one do not consider Johnson to be the Peoples' Champ.

glen is tailor mae for joe, yes joe had problems with bika once or wice but no-one in the right state of mind can argue that bika won. if anything it was a one way UD, all the real punches and boxing was coming fom joe, bika had some success in disrupting calzaghe early on by making the fight dirty but like he said he only disrupted calzaghe he didn't do anything himself to really take the fight.

johnson is alot like bika, he has good power and stamina and is tough to boot. but i see joe winning a wide UD maybe even looking as good as he did with lacy every now and again in the fight. johnson is tailor made for joe and would allow him to show off his counterpunching skills and how he fights off the backfoot.

i can see why joe would want johnson, he is easier, brings more money, is a bigger name and many ppl think he has the W over dawson. however if he does get the W over johnson the critics response is going to be that hes fighting over the hill fighters and avoiding the prime fighters. joe might also feel as though he has a point to prove by beating the last of his generation, a fighter who he never quite managed to face off with when they were younger.

dawson although young and maybe even green, is probably more of a problem in terms of style, his youth and speed. dawson imo would also lose to joe and again by UD. but a win over him would again have the critics saying that dawson was over hyped anyway and never the real thing.

imo joe should take the dawson fight, dawson will go on to do reat things and imo is ripe for the picking. yes he has a hard style for joe, but dawsons style is one that gets better as he gets older, as he learns more ring nous and becomes more savvy he will become harder for joe to beat. dawson may well go on to do grat things at LHW and CW and joe has a chance to take another '0' from a younger but inferior fighter.

Calzaghe is the flavour of the month so everybody is trying to lick him.
