Bika's holding in round 2 is a joke! Just watching it now.
bika's? lol! calzaghe vision is really messing with your mind. bika would try to punch but calzaghe would hang on for dear life with both arms. ref never did anything of course. you are really thick if you think it was bika doing most the holding.

You are insane!
Awesome.
Jim Lampley: "But it seems to me, Lennox, that it's been Bika who's been doing most of the grabbing and holding."
Lennox Lewis: "Yeah, he's, you know, still trying to figure out what to do against Calzaghe. He still hasn't figured out what to do. He needs to jump on that B-plan right now."
Later...
Jim Lampley: "I wonder when Mickey Vann might warn Bika for holding? Hasn't happened yet..."
Calzaghe didn't do all that much holding, only enough to shut Bika down, but Bika kept holding on and arm-locking Calzaghe.
TBH, I'm not bothered if Joe wins or loses either.
The fact is, however, a lot of people on this site dislike Joe for silly reasons, and most of those people are American.
I don't set out to offend or piss anyone off when I post about Calzaghe, and I always post nothing but the truth.
If that makes me a nuthugger, then spread your legs and get the chocolate sauce...
I really have heard it all now.
Calzaghe is not the kind of person you would want to "rush in" and finish.
Only one man has ever tried this, and he was a feared power puncher of his time also.
The two-time World Champion put Joe on the canvas for the first time in his career, and thought he was in a position where a little pressure would provide a big reward.
He was sadly mistaken, however, and discovered that when he is really under pressure, Joe hits harder than most people at 168, and put him away in the same round. (He had never been stopped previously)
Anyone know who I am talking about?
*Edit: Have just rewatched the fight, I urge anyone who has not seen it to watch it, Joe performs a masterclass, it's more one sided than I had remembered.
uh hum and what world class A-level fighting title holder did this? Because if your referring to a soup can that Joe fought in Wales, he isn't fighting these guys anymore..If a Glen, Chad or even a Pavlik or Abraham for that matter WERE to hurt Calzaghe like Roy or Hop did they would finish the job
FRKO, you got to be kidding me if you think quotes from the announcers are proof of whats really going on in the fight. Calzaghe initiated more clinches and lost the inside fight badly.
greater resume? hardly. ottke fought more world class fighters in his title defenses. guys like prime glen johnson. calzaghe avoided glen johnson furiously and fought prime kessler woopty doo. calzaghe's last 2 fights are a pure waste of time since should have lost to hopkins and roy jones is shot out of a damn space cannon.
Ok, so Ottke fought Glen Johnson.
One decent name, that's it.
You're hate for Calzaghe is causing you to deliberately overrate Ottke in order to get a rise out of reasonable Calzaghe fans. Where I'm from, that's called trolling, and is a bannable offense.
Luckily for you, I'm not going to hit report, because your absurd bull**** opinions amuse me.
so you admit ottke has better defense than calzaghe. and imagine what ottke would do to hopkins. i feel a SD victory coming! just like his twin calzaghe.

Well, if you believe what Daggum is saying, Ottke is a much better fighter than Calzaghe.
Ottke fought Mitchell too, and if you have ever seen the fight you would have had a pretty hard job giving it to Ottke, Mitchell was robbed.
This makes Mitchell a world class operator, by Daggums own logic.
Therefore, Joke Calslappy stopped a world class opperator who had never been stopped before. All this, in the same round where he got caught and went down for the first time himself.
You can twist it and you can manipulate it to suit your own arguement, but the facts are clear:
1) Mitchell should have been WBA champion at the time.
