    You know he actually started out lighter than WW and even fought Willie Pep and beat him in the amatuers? That's what I hear.
    Yea, I heard about that on a little doc I watched, it was a pretty funny story.

    When Pep saw him he made a coment to his trainer like, "Is that the guy i'm fighting!?" and his trainer replied "Don't worry, the kid probably can't fight at all" or something like that

      These mythical match-ups are not the bread and butter of a boxing forum, it's just the dessert. We often talk about current champions going up against prospects, contenders and tomato cans/bums/palookas too. This thread is just made to stir things up and "work" the other side, trying to illicit responses from the fans of the other boxer, and refute them like he can prove he's right. How can we prove if these so called fantasy match-ups can't happen?
      Wow. Chill the **** out a bit dude!

        Reminds me of a story; it involves MMA and resembles this same thing

        http://www.sherdog.com/news/intervie...Interview-1485

        MC = Monte Cox (promoter)
        JH = James Hirth/Interviewer

        JH: With most of the Red Devils fighting almost exclusively in Russia, were you able to get a hold of film of these guys?

        MC: No we weren’t. That was the one thing we couldn’t do in time. Miguel has given me a basic report of their individual strengths and weaknesses but we’ll find out more when we get to Atlantic City. The week of the show their will be a “U.S. Team” and “Russian Team” environment and more of an information sharing session.

        JH: Does that bother you? I mean especially with fighters from other countries, you cannot be sure their reported record is even accurate.

        MC: Well I told the guys just to focus on their own skills and make sure they arrive in shape. That way they should be ready for anything and should stick to their own game.

        JH: From what I’ve gathered, Jason Maxwell (USWF, KOTC, HnS, USMMA, ZST veteran, 4-6 in MMA) and Sergei Goliaev (M-1 and Free Fight Holland veteran, 4-2 in MMA) are somewhat evenly matched experience-wise. However Justin Eilers (Extreme Challenge, Superbrawl, IFC veteran, 8-3-1 in MMA) appears to have a great deal more experience than Mikhail Bogdanov (M-1 and Free Fight Holland veteran, 3-1 in MMA).

        MC: Yes well the one thing I told the guys was that the Red Devil Fight Club doesn’t have any bums on it. They are all tough guys or they wouldn’t be a part of that camp.

        JH: Right, and it’s also a given that they have a military background because most fighters out of Russia have been training in grappling and striking since their youth.

        MC: Right but I also think our guys have faced better competition. Maxwell has been in there with Duane Ludwig and Jens Pulver (Maxwell is out of the event due to an elbow injury and will be replaced by UFC veteran Rich “No Love” Clementi – JH). Eilers has faced Dan Severn and “Cabbage” Correira. I don’t think those particular Red Devil fighters have faced athletes of that caliber. I have kind of a funny story with Kerry Schall. I told him I had a fight for him in RINGS Japan…

        JH: Oh, I already see this coming.

        MC: Yes. I told him most of the Russians in RINGS were not very good. Like Volk Han, Andre Kopylov and Achmed Labasanov. Well he ran into Fedor (laughs).

        JH: And Fedor killed him (laughs).

        MC: Yeah, but who knew (laughs)? He had only had a few fights and who knew what a buzz saw Fedor would turn out to be (laughs)? Kerry would say “Hey, you ought to talk to my manager. He’ll get you an easy bout in RINGS” (laughs).

          this thread is hilarious!!! I hope the creator is pointing out how all this Pacman love is annoying and just plain ******. pacman is still a lil ball of offense who doesn't have any defense and will be outboxed by any technicl boxer his size or bigger.

                  Yeah...I just created this last night because I was seeing Pacquiao vs. Everybody threads. In one thread, a couple of fans were saying Pacquiao would've stopped SRR, so I made this thread, and obviously there are some fools who actually believe that.

                      Hahaha great story. Running into Fedor is like running into impending doom. Good read.
