Seriously does Valuev realise that he's gonna have to fight someone at some point to keep his title and he's not willing for that to be against 40 something year old Holyfield. What a giant *****, just retire now and save us all the uninterest in every seeing you fight again.
lol giant *****, i remember when he first came into the scene, i was like damn aint nobody gonna beat that ugly 8 foot shrek lookin dude, i wonder if he got groupies lol. personally i wanna see the heavyweight division just stop existing, mike tyson was the last real heavyweight champion
firstly wan to ay while holyfield probably edged the fight it was a borefest wit no action that shud not b repeated...on a different angle i rewatched holyfiled v tyson 1 and 2 and how hoilyfield got away with constantly butting, holding mikes left arm in a armlock and low blows is beyond me..he kept leadind with the head and busted mike in both fights...im not condoning wat mike did,hes a lunatic, but u cant expect to get away with the **** he pulled w/o mike retaliating..again not agreeing wit what tyson did
Boris Dimitrov, manager of WBA heavyweight champion Nikolai Valuev, says there are no plans for a rematch with Evander Holyfield. On December 20 in Switzerland, Holyfield appeared to be well on his way to a fifth world title. In a shocker, Valuev was awarded a majority twelve round decision over the 46-year-old veteran. The scores were 114-114, 116-112 and 115-114. [details]
this was expected holyfield kicked the living **** outta him valuev only won cause he'll get more money for the promoters...heavyweight division is getting pretty lame cause of the things like this
Personally I don't care if it was (as some state) a "boring" fight. Evander boxed smart, and "should" have won. I respect that.
I watched this fight with my friend and I told my friend just before the decision when then announcers were so sure that Holyfield had won, watch how surprised they are gonna be when Holyfield loses. Turns out I was right. Although Holyfield might have gotten in the most blows he basically ran all night. That does not impress judges. In a fight when you are trying to lift someone's belt you have to go and take it from him and not expect the judges to give you a gift. I am comfortable with the decision. Holyfield is not even half the fighter he used to be...but he doesn't realize that and he will keep fighting. He'll have no chance against any of the other top heavyweights in the division.
