Floyd also pooped Hatton in Rd 8 with a 1....2....3....4 combo to the head which slowed down Hatton. Pac's combos are 1,2,3,4, quick punches. Watch the tape where he pulverizes Delahoya in the corner to the head, those combos were hitting Delahoya just as fast as the crowd clapping in the background.

did you see the fight? floyd tried to use footwork but because hatton kept coming he decided to beat hatton up on the inside. then when hatton started making mistakes he started moving around again but hatton was still relentless but sloppy and floyd set up and landed the check hook.

pac's not gonna be able to dart in and out on hatton like he did dlh... dlh had no legs.

        get up close.
You mean if the referee will allow hatton to play dirty like what he did to tyuzu?

pac was pretty much potshotting dlh for much of the fight... he only started pulverizing dlh with combos when dlh stopped fighting back.

i'm pretty sure he might be able to land a few punches before hatton bullrushes pac, hopefully he will be able to turn hatton like he did dlh.

Ya, im just doing a comparison of what Floyd did to Hatton during their fight. For the first couple rounds Hatton mauled and rushed Floyd but Floyd adjusted. When Floyd started landing those rights during the mid to the last rounds Hatton slowed down and Floyd continued with those shots, Hatton never adjusted and still came forward, hands down, and left himself open, even slowed down after those shots.

If Pac gets in his shots and the fight goes past the 8th, Pac seals it around the 10th-11th. Rickys style is smother you in the inside but im sure Roach will come up with a plan for that. The in and out game plan was for the Bigger DLH. They didnt want DLH post up to throw the left hook.

            • brendon smith just want to get attention. he's nothing but a forgotten trainer of the unthinking fighter.

              katsidis could have beaten oscar??????

              • Mr. Smith is wrong on many points, but none of them worse so than when he claimed that Katisidis would have beaten the De La Hoya who faced Pacquiao. Katisidis can't beat any version of De La Hoya. Katsidis was in HUGE trouble against Amonsot who by any stretch of the imagination cannot be anywhere near even the De La Hoya that fought Pacquiao and Katsidis has never won against a world-class fighter. His chin is suspect and De La Hoya only needs to land half a dozen to end it all early. It shall be easy for De La Hoya to land punches; Katsidis is not hard to find. Ask Joel, who was old when he beat the Australia-based Greek.

Katisids is fighting in Cebu late next month against a spaniard who has been able to end only half of his 18 wins within the distances while losing 4. The fight site and the opponent should say much about where Mr. Smith's ward is in his career. It's not as if Katsidis is being avoided...

Edit: Forget JMMarquez, Campbell and all the top guns in the division. Katsidis will have his hands full against even an old, 36-year-old, Jesus Chavez.

Well because hatton is doing some hugging and hitting thats why cortez need to stop that kind of dirty tactics...

                  • It's funny that the whole point Smith makes starts from observing a mistake:

people basing their predictions of pac-hatton on pac-oscar.

Fair enough, I agree, but then why base your prediction of pac-hatton on zoo-hatton?

What would happen is that Floyd would hold and Cortez would warn Hatton. The refereeing was atrocious in that fight.
