Pavlik has 1 loss, and it's to a legend. Nothin Jack or anybody else said coulda stopped that loss. It's wrong to try and blame his trainer.

The real problem here is the style match, clearly Hopkins had the advantage. Having said that, Pavlik didn't have to lose the fight the way he did. He just stood there an got hit like the bums that Klitschko knocks out. That is a fraternity that Pavlik didn't need to join. It is going to take years for him to overcome such an embarrassing loss.

Loew doesn't deserve credit for how far Kellys got, Kelly should get the credit there. Jermain Taylor showed that Kelly has problems with fighters that used lateral movement in the rematch, and Loew didn't do anything in training to teach Kelly to deal with it. Hopkins showed us Kellys limitations once again, and Loews..

I don't think Loew is that great of a trainer, but not all the blame should be placed on him. Pavlik would've lost that night no matter what.

they certaintly came out with the wrong gameplan in the hopkins fight. rewatching it on hbo, they're gameplan of trying to knock hopkins out was ridiculous. and doubling the jab wasn't going to get pavlik in range. each time he even began to jab hopkins would just move or counter. the correct gameplan would've been to lead with power shots, something pavlik didn't do all fight.

Loew should get the bullet. What kind of guy tells his fighter to try and KO a guy that has hardly really been hit with solid shots in his entire career besides the Mercado fight and a guy who also has great chin.

I don't see why he should be fired. This trainers brought him up from the amateurs and made him into the best middleweight in the world. Losing one fight to B-Hop shouldn't cause his coach to get fired.
