dehydrated? who said? by you and the other haters?
How can he be dehydrated when he was on shape weeks before the fight?
Did he looked dehydrated at the weigh in??........pleeeeeease
Nacho Beristain, Angelo Dundee, and Oscar himself said that he was on great shape.
    Stop making excuses.
The fact that Pac move up to 147 after only having one fight at 135 and completely dominating Oscar with his skills when almost nobody gave him a chance to win should make him FOTY!

And yea, Feliz Navidad to you xcaret.
    You want some milk?

wow bad analogy there, for marg to accomplish the same feat as pac, it would be for him to move up to light heavy or even middle weight and beat pavlik or hopkins.

further more, the way pac won his last two fights with spectacular fashion, while moving up in weight, that deserves the fighter of the year. I do think Marg is a close 2nd though.

Great trio to consider. I would have to lean towards Margs as first with Joe C. a strong second. Pac is a an easy third. Might have been different if DLH had been more accomplished his last several fights.

I love these kind of awards and questions because it really tells you what these guys feel about the fighters that they always put down. For instance These Margarito fans that say aawww Cotto was owned he was over hyped. If he was, then Margarito is not worth the fighter of the Year. Now all of a sudden Margarito deserves the FIGHTER OF THE YEAR!...lol I guess Cotto was a great win and a huge accomlishment...lolIm a huge Cotto fan and do feel Margarito deserves this because even though he is bigger than Cotto he beat a great fighter. Pac also great but beat an old "only about the money" De La Hoya". Calzaghe pretty good but beat an old Jones, and barely got past an old HOF Hopkins.I would think Hopkins has a good chance too.

Pacs fans are going to favor Pac
Margarito fans are going to favor Tony
Joe C. fans are going to favor him.

I say we give it to Billy Dib after his spectacular performance against Luevano. (LOL)

I would go with Manny P, but not by a landslide and mostly because of his win over JMM. Diaz absolutely ****** and was one of the worst lightweight "champions" of my lifetime, so Manny P's win was no surprise. DLH was shot. Did we know that in advance? No. Most didn't know how over the hill he was, but we should have after his performance against Hopkins and Forbes.
Margarito beat Cintron, who has a pretty record but never beaten anybody, and Cotto, who is the real deal. So each beat a top fighter.
I would have probably given the award to Mijares if he hadn't imploded against
Darchinyan. Adamek, Hasegawa, Cabellero and Vic D deserve consideration as well

Pacquiao's achievements this year haven't been seen since about 1938.
