And unfortunately some people give other fans a really bad rap. I'm a Calzaghe fan, I enjoy watching him fight, and despite what people say, the guy has a lot of skills. He didn't show it in the Hopkins fight, but a whole career of 46 fights should not be based on one bad performance. We are all human, not robots. We are allowed a few mistakes. There are Calzaghe fights where he put on an absolute masterclass. Fights which were brutal wars. Fights that were a bit boring, and fights that were exciting to watch. I've seen almost all of them. However, we must remain critical. It's not healthy to pour excessive amounts of praise on Joe or any fighter because they ALL have flaws. And so do their fans!

Emanual Steward appreciates his skill. He always talks about how special of a fighter Joe is. Maybe people should listen to him

            What is your point here?

The fight with Collins was an extremely close SD. Could have gone either way.

The fight with Barruetabena, he only weighed 171.

Once again, you are dramatizing small details to try and make Calzaghe look worse than he is. Just stop, bro, it's ain't working.

Consider what Pacquiao has done this year alone in terms of weight.

And why not. He's trained some good fighters, no, GREAT fighters, and he obviously sees something he likes. He has heaps of praise for Calzaghe, and who am I to argue? Just a mere fight fan who doesn't know one tenth as much as Steward does. He's forgotten more about boxing than I'll ever learn.

The point is that he was not at his best at SMW. He did enter a 2 week weight draining regime to make weight. As he was getting older it was harder to make weight. Imagine having to lose a extra 7 pounds to make weight, that would take a heavy toll on the body. He also took the fight at short notice, Calzaghe did too but he was planning to fight at 168 already

Oh man... why am I even bothering.

Look. Eubank-Calzaghe was a brilliant fight. It wasn't a one-sided beating on an old man who was weak, it was a ****ing war in which Eubank gave Calzaghe his hardest fight to date.

I loved that fight. I watched it live in 1997 and I have watched it maybe 10 times since then. Why are you whining about it?

Good! You made your post look sarcastic because of the smily you put at the end! If I misunderstood it slightly, I apologize.
