Can Americans even understand WTF Joe Calzaghe is saying?

He speaks like he has some type of mental illness. Im from England and I find it difficult to understand his broken, sloppy english so I was wondering if you yanks can understand what he's saying.

His interviews consist mostly of "....BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH COULD YOU BEAT KESSSLAAAAAAA...IM A LEGEND MAN IM A LEGEND"

you want to talk about british boxing the last 10 years?

you talk about lennox. you talk about hamed. you talk about hatton.

joe is nothing without his 0.

warren worked harder than joe at keeping him undefeated.

Joe Calzaghe is terrified of losing. The shame is this. We probably never really saw the BEST of Calzaghe because he never put himself in a position when he needed it. That really is a shame.

Exactly. The only opponents Joe deserves credit for is Kessler and Eubank (even though Eubank wasnt his best).

Who cares if you were undefeated your whole career? So was Sven Ottke.

Im not blaming Joe for his crappy resume. I just dont think he should be considered the greatest British boxer of all time for it.

edit: My old man is a big calzaghe fan and has followed him his whole career. When we watched the Jones fight he said "No way would Calzaghe have beaten the old (prime) Roy Jones.

I think Calzaghe fans also realise this.

sven ottke retired undefeated fighting basically the same opposition as joe.

ricky fought kostya tszyu to get his belt. joe fought for a vacant belt.

ricky challenged another beltholder in his next fight. it took joe 9 years to challenge another beltholder.

ricky went up to fight the #1 p4p fighter in the world and will fight another #1 p4p guy next year. joe could have done that against bernard and roy but he didn't.

The difference between the career choices of Ricky Hatton and Joe Calzaghe is night and day. Ricky said he wanted to fight the best and proved it. Joe said he wanted to retire undefeated and set up fights that allowed it.

I will always appreciate the career of Ricky Hatton over that of Joe Calzaghe.

He has a strong Welsh accent. Lots of Welsh people lazily speak, it often sounds like they are slurring.

I can understand him fine. Their are alot of people from england ive heard and talked to where I could at best catch 50% of what they said.
