Before Cotto he Beat the **** out of Gatti and split his lip like OH ****!!..
Before Cotto people on this very forum put up so many points sayin Gomez can and will expose Cotto and will beat Cotto..

Now he's the worst boxer ever!!!...lmao!..

It happens over and over..Gomez was a solid dude who got ****d by greatness!..

Just like in this stage of his career Berto can get it too!!..
C'mon man. Berto is more then a "solid" dude. The skill level between Gomez and Berto is pretty freaking steep.

Right NOW??..I'd say in about a year or 2 maybe..but now??..

        I'd have to disagree..

        It'll resemble Cotto-Quintana before it'll resemble Cotto-Judah..in my opinion

Judah was much quicker much stronger a southpaw and experienced when he fought Cotto..

I'll come to my conclusion on this topic after I see Berto in there with Collazo..Collazo is nothin more but a solid opponent as well..and If he'll gain experience thru someone not too powerful but quick and good ring generalship..it's Collazo..

I'm not fully sold on Berto just yet..beating Estrada, Rodriguez and Forbes is a good start..but not on the level of Cotto just yet..might just be me..sorry!

Berto has no similarities to Quintana. I agree about the experience, but Berto has a TON of natural talent. He's got Zab-type hand speed. He throws similar lead uppercuts, although he doesn't have that straight left that Zab had(what an underrated punch). But I also think Berto is a better fighter on the inside than Zab.

I agree experience would be the difference. And I certainly think Cotto would beat Berto. But it would look nothing like the Gomez fight, or the Quintana fight. He would give Cotto some problems with his speed. But he'd fight at Cotto's pace, and Cotto would just pick him apart and wear him down to a late round TKO in my opinion.

I actually think it'd be identical to the Zab fight the more I think about it.

No I agree with you, on most of your points, man. Like I said earlier in this thread, as of right now, Cotto beats him.

MY GOD!..why would u wanna even think of putting Berto in there?..Berto gets murdered as of RIGHT NOW...his lack of experience and he's untested..Collazo will give em a run..Cotto would show NO MERCY!...

Who knows what the future holds for Berto..seems to have a decent workrate and ok power..he might be top 5 WW some day...but not yet..

I'd go as far as to say..Cotto would 'Alfonso Gomez' Berto!...REAL TALK!

Good video. There's Cotto trying to pretend he is Mayweather.

                    Berto and Quintana are Southpaws
Berto and Quintana have good right hooks
Berto and Quintana have solid right-hand jabs
Berto is slightly quicker than Quintana but not as quick as Zab
Berto and Quintana try the body much more than Judah
Berto and Quintana can go 12 rounds pretty easily..
Berto and Quintana would never last 12 with Cotto..lmao!

I can see your comparison with Zab but the only 2 things I see are the speed which aren't very similar imo..and the uppercuts which are led by 2 different hands..an outside right-hand uppercut won't catch Cotto like a left outside or even an inside right..

                    I'm not knockin Berto..he's just GREEN..nothin wrong wit that..his time will come..but his time ain't now..feel me?

Berto got that sharp uppercut. I still think Cotto would get to him with all the body shots.
