I think Cotto beats Berto right now.

Berto hasn't been in wars or in a situation of pressure which Cotto would definitely put on him. We saw how Cotto fought a bigger guy in Margarito and was still able to land hellish shots. Those shots IMO would've put Berto on the floor for sure.

I'm sure this is a fight we'll see in the next 2 years.

MY GOD!..why would u wanna even think of putting Berto in there?..Berto gets murdered as of RIGHT NOW...his lack of experience and he's untested..Collazo will give em a run..Cotto would show NO MERCY!...

Who knows what the future holds for Berto..seems to have a decent workrate and ok power..he might be top 5 WW some day...but not yet..

I'd go as far as to say..Cotto would 'Alfonso Gomez' Berto!...REAL TALK!
Damn bro!!!!!!!!! I think that Cotto can put a serious beating on Berto, but you went overboard right there. Good **** thoŽ!!!!

yea Cotto wouldn't be able to hit Berto like he did Marg.

But I think Cotto would definitely take Berto apart right now. Berto's workrate is solid, but not enough to make Cotto uncomfortable. Only thing Cotto has to watch out for are those uppercuts. However, Berto throws a lot of lead lunging uppercuts, kind of like Zabs. Cotto ate one or two of those but avoided most of them. It's the uppercuts on the inside, like the ones Tony threw that really give him trouble.

                Cotto UD/late KO.

Gomez doesn't have the physical gifts Berto does. Cotto/Berto would not look like Cotto/Gomez. Berto would get his respect. I think Cotto/Berto would look A LOT like Cotto/Zab.

Berto reminds me a lot of Zab.

I understand all of that, but the thing is that the people that were betting against Cotto in that fight where merely idiots and Cotto haters, real boxing fans knew that Gomez didnt have a chance. That being said I think Berto is a level up on Gomez. I still think that Cotto ****s him thoŽ!!!!
