    it's kinda sick
Would honestly take a hell of a lot of research, but I'd be willing to bet that more fights does NOT equal more death/brain damage. Go back 70 years and 120-200 fights was no uncommon. People would fight every 2-4 weeks. If you google "boxing deaths" you'll find a great site (can't remember the name, but it's a wikipedia type site) that lists every known ring fatality. They were no more common a century ago than they are now. Brain damage has also been on the rise in modern times rather that the oldschool days. I've read several articles that list "heavier gloves" as the leading culprit. 70 years ago, there were no such things as 12 and 14 ounce gloves. 6 and 8 were the going rate.

one thing you need to understand is you get paid by how much money you bring in. So if a boxer is making a lot of money it's because they are generating it. Promoters make more money than the fighters, you can argue them taking too much out of the share since they are not the ones fighting but they are the ones putting the fights together. So to answer your question no they don't get paid to much. It's like a self employed person and what they make is greatly based on how much they generate.

Considering the physical and mental lengths they push themselves to for our enjoyment, I would never begrudge boxers getting huge paydays.

Whatever they're getting paid, it's not enough.

            nice try tho
It will collapse as it is. I know people been announcing boxing's death for years but now it's for real. The reason it didn't die was people's natural taste for violence. Now they have other places to turn to. It will be ugly. Boxing either goes clean up (corruption and ****) and on a diet or it will continue to fade away and finally become a sport like full contact (everyone wants to see K1 not full contact)

Yea but when fighters arent fighting the fights that the fans who are allowing this sport to exist because they are only getting 6 million instead of 7 million should be shot in the face.

I dont hold anything against fighters making millions because, even though it is too much, how can you refuse a million dollars to fight for one night. But when they start bitching about how they are not getting paid enough, they can go **** themselves. And then they will go on to put on a horrible performance not worth the money at all.

So basically what I'am saying is they are getting paid to much... and that floyd mayweather should get shot in the face

I know what you're saying. When squabbling gets in the way of fights being made, it's infuriating. All the nonsense between Margs and Mosley during the negotiations was ****** as hell.

However, my point was...as soon as the fight is made, whatever they're getting, it's fine with me.

Apart from some rare cases - like, let's say some truly ridiculous like Hatton vs Floyd 2, which has been mooted. If that fight gets made, it'll be Floyd is coming back just for the money. And in that case, I'll call him a robbing bastard and think he deserves jack ****.

However, in the vast majority of cases, what fighters get paid for a fight is perfectly fine with me.

**** no!!!!!! Wha about baseball players?!?!?! Those bastards get paid tons of millions and they aren't even in half the danger boxers are.

I say pay less to boringball players and give them to fighters Boxing AND MMA.

They want more money? Throw Alex Rodriguez in a ring with Dave Haye and pay him if he survives 5 rounds at least.
