Margarito Not Thinking Williams, Focused on Mosley

This issue has been discussed to death. Margarito was not supposed to fight Williams to begin with because of potential match with Cotto in 07. After he lost the first match why would he fight him again to risk another loss

This may be true. Even 'Eaner' says Marg is interested in making as much $$$ as possible before retiring, which for him is soon.

, and kill potential Cotto match in 2008. Williams didn't reject a rematch, how could he if Margarito came into the fight as champion having the power to make rematch clause in contract. He went on to fight Johnson, Cintron to get belt and look impressive to warrant a match with Cotto; something an immediate rematch would have ruined. And rejected the rematch for the 2nd time for easier match in Mosley then Cotto again. He is not scared, but Arum will not let the fight happen before Cotto.

I don't know about that. He never got an official offer the first time.

Maybe team Marg is stopping the offer from passing first base, but at least we agree Marg isn't 'afraid'. I believe Eaner when he says Marg wants cash now before his final day.
It goes along with him being eager for that DLH match.
And if Williams made financial sense he'd go for him, cause Marg WANTS that closure, but Paul can't fill a stadium, and cash before retirement makes more sense than exercising a rematch clause.

Margarito approached PBF and said let's fight. PBF told Margarito that they would fight after the PBF-ODLH match. But after that PBF fought Hatton, then PBF retired. hmmm....
